Problems with my 91

I am having some problems with my high beems. When I turn them on my left light goes out, and I hear a buzzing coming from the engine compartment. It is coming from a black blox that is on the right side of the battery attached to the fender. Anyone know what this is and why it is buzzing? My gas guage is also not working properly. When I fill it up with gas it goes to the half way mark, and goes down from there.

Thanks Jeff

Are you in Canada? If so, you have a daytime running light module in the exact area you described. Sometimes you can tap on it to get it working again and sometimes it just plain needs to be replaced. Other Canucks may have more details than I, I'm in Oregon. :)

I had a similar problem...

As it turns out, one of the headlights (can't remember which) is grounded through the DRL module. I spliced that ground out, and ran it straight to the battery. Problem solved.
