electrical problem

hey guys i have a bit of an electrical problem which is my rear driving lighs dont work and my dash lights dont come on anymore

 

but the funny part is if i use my remote start the lights are all on until i touch my brakes then everything shuts off

 

also my horn no longer works

Have you checked fuses yet? Is it only the rear lights that dont work, or are the fronts out as well? I would assume your remote start is giving power to the ciruit in the mean time.

Ditto, and it could be the headlight switch.

headlights do work both running lights and the when i turn the switch

I think he was saying the headlights and corner lights work but the tail/brake lights do not...

 

 

pull the steering column cover off and check out the wires to see if they're pinched/broken whatever...

check the remote starter wiring.

all the lights work if i start the truck with the remote start but when i touch the brakes the interior and the tail lights shut off
