Kittamaru
Alrighty, getting my head out of me arse and noticing I have a LOT more to learn than I thought How do I go about determining the engine on my pathy? It's a 3.0L SE V6... but what's all the numbers I see being thrown about? VG30 or something like that? How do I know what mine is? how do I go about determining what kind of injectors I have/need? TBI or EFI? What're those? *chuckles* damn... so much to learn, so few accurate resources for this old truck on the web! Help me obi wan kenobies... I know you guys know the truth of the pathy force! Yeah... I got a long ways to go. But I'll get there

Simon
SOHC = Single Over Head Cam MPFI = Multi-Port Fuel Injection.
94extreme
it should say what you have on the tag on the door jamb.. or one under the hood. if you have a carb looking like thing (under the air filter) then it's a TBI; if you have a little air filter on the driver's side front and a big air intake on the top of the motor then you have MPFI.. if you have 4 wires coming out of the dizzy (distributor) then you have a 4 banger.. if you have no wires then you have a diesel. Kittamaru
uhm, I have the little box air filter on the drivers side front I have 6 wires... but supposedly 12 plugs? 12 spark plugs for six cylinders for 2 injectors... that's what I was able to look up about my vehicle, but it confuses the @!*% out of me... how does that WORK? Or is the information WAY bad?
Kittamaru
My tranny fluid hasn't been replaced in over 50k miles (my bad, I know) but it's still the same pinkish red that went in and has a sweet smell to it... it's a LITTLE thin by my understanding... but yeah... should I do a drain and refill? Also, what's a good tranny cooler to look at? I'm absolutely LOST looking at them... I was just reading thru the auto tranny fluid change topic in the 1990 pathy area... yeah... now I'm scared. 50k is a might bit over 15k
94extreme
no, 6 plugs is all you have.. you do have 6 injectors but the wires to those don't come from the dizzy nor do they resemble a plug wire. i think any external cooler for the tranny is better then stock.. whatever price suites you, go with that. do the ATF change after you install the external cooler.. no sense in messing with it twice. the fluid is fine as long as it's slick, pink and smells kind of sweet. Kittamaru
Alright, so disregard the online "manual" I found, got it Can you point me towards some good coolers? I'm looking at some... I don't even know where they'd GO much less how to install them. I'm trying to find something that's somewhat noobie friendly... seems a loosing battle

Kittamaru
Yeah, I was reading thru it, but it doesn't give many links that are helpful for me I'm not really sure what i"m looking at with em. Quick quesiton - what is the difference (and pro/con) of a body lift kit compared to a suspension lift kit?
