Splinter
I see them on some trucks and don't see them on others. Is it part of a trim package or were they year specific?
Simon
Typically it's a trim package thing. SE's almost ALL had them. Some XE's (depending on chosen options/packages) had them. LE's typically did not have them.
Tincan4X4
My SE had them, but I took them off. I think it looks better without them.

LD50
Neither of my XE`s came with flares. The `92 had power everything and a rear tire carrier, the 95 has power nothing and no options.
Splinter
Our 95XE doesn't have them either, but after looking at a lot more rigs, I think I actually like them. It seems to fill in the wheel well a bit and make it look tougher. Anyone have a set that they can ship to Ontario?
GhostPath
I have a 90 SE and it doesn't appear to have *ever* had them. On the other hand, it is a "base" SE and it didn't come with the external carrier or the 31x10.5 tires, either.
unccpathfinder
86.5-95 will accept flares for sure...I just put some 95 on my 87 and all the holes were already there...

You can get a wide body option too. The flares are bigger and look better than the stock ones.
MikeV
Both my 95 XE & SE had them; looks much better with them. Wheel wells look 2 square without them, like a old cherokee chief :tonguefinger:

Earth1
There also seems to be a difference in the later years, shaped slightly different and maybe a different plastic or finish.

GrimGreg
You can get a wide body option too. The flares are bigger and look better than the stock ones. Not in NA you couldn't. They had 3 different sets of flares, all had the same stick out. First set fit with the "air damn" on the 87-92s. the second set were for 93 only and fit with the new valance they fit in place of the air damn, then the 94&95 ones had the same as 93 but with intigrated flaps. Only other option we had here was Bush Wackers, but only as aftermarket not from the dealer. Those were nice, but they stopped making them .
