MichiganAve
Manual says rear axle only for tire chains on my 98 QX4... why can't we run chains on all 4?
Orangetang
Would chains clear the front struts and fenders? I think not, if they're remotely close to the same design I run on the Kenworth. Just imagine running a tire 2-3" wider than what you have now and having it clear everything up front. Without aftermarket rims with lower backspacing, I doubt they'd even clear very well on the rear. That is my 2cents, but I havn't ever seen car chains. Trainman
On my previous trucks, such as F250's, I ran ice chains on the back but with the Pathy all I can run are cable chains on the rear. This is why you can not run chains on the front: Note the lack of clearance. Also, does your Q have the AllMode transfer case? If so, there may be issues with that too. zonianbrat
I too was wondering if I could run chains on all four wheels or just the rears. This answers my question. Does anybody know of a good place to get tire chains for a decent $. I tried one place and they said they had to order them and that it would be real expensive. MichiganAve
kragen didn't have any for 33x12.5 in stock, but all their tire chains are from tirechains.com so I just ordered some heavy duty v-bars from them online for the rear. i am not getting anything for up front. zonianbrat
Sweet I'll be checking out tirechains.com soon. I need to go ahead and order a set for the rear.
