Gripenfelter
There is a rapid ticking rattle coming from the passenger side firewall in the engine bay AFTER the engine has been turned off. Sounds like a solenoid. Rattle lasts 10-15 secs and stops abruptly. What is this?
unccpathfinder
sure its not the exhaust cooling off?
Chriskaw440
it might be a cat in there....tapping on the metal with his claw and saying...."let me outta here!" my second thought was exhaust parts cooling off too.......
Gripenfelter
Definately not exhaust. Sounds like a solenoid clicking repeatedly.
Simon
A relay perhaps? There's an electrical box housing relays/fuses under the hood. Pop the top and give that a listen next time.
Roost
Are you sure it's not the self destruct 30 second timer?

Gripenfelter
Fixed this problem. Ended up being a leaf stem stuck in the blower motor. The blower fan stays on for 30 secs after you turn off the truck.
