NoKaOiSURF Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 Aloha from Maui just scored a 1995 standard 4x4 4dr all i got from old owner is wont start. first thing i noticed was that the battery cables were on the wrong sides +on- -on+ ???????? when new batt in place tachometrer has mind of its own and noticed computer under passanger seat has a red light cranks and thats it oh also hearing a buzz from top front of engine(think its the distriputer ) when key in on position how to check codes ill get a book tommorrow \ chilton or hayes which is better Mahalos for the time hoping to replace my gas gussling big bronco cant afford $3.75gal any more aloha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Check your fusible links at the battery, and after that it may need the ECU replaced if it sat with reversed polarity for a while. I dunno. Will the battery take a charge or is it shot?
