87peppy
hello all, my 87 started making a clunking sound in the rear when i drive over rough surfaces such speed bumps and etc. i only notice it going slow and it sometimes is a little annoying. was wondering if this is a common issue.? thanks
GrimGreg
Check your rear sway bar end links. If they are worn or loose the bar can make a clunk when it moves.
88pathoffroad
Mine did that too a long time ago. It was the swaybar. Could also be worn-out shock bushings or a loose muffler mount or several other things being loose.
TerranoNZ
Just had a guy I know in yesterday with similar thing (caR50) Front swaybar to chass bushes where knackered. Also he said it was swaying badly. Found that all the bushes in the rear are shot too. Had to point out to him that my WD21 still has factory bushes and are still fine If you can get someone to rock the Pathfinder while you look at the sus, you might be able to spot something moving. Good luck
