dagwoodzz
Bought a Hot-tub Friday, on the way home Pathy was having trouble maintaining 3k rpms going up the hills. (South Missisppi hills are slight lumps). It has been 30k miles since plugs, wires and D/Cap were changed last. Plan to do same tune-up again with MAF cleaning. Last time the D/Cap was changed I noticed the contact from the distributor had some rust/oxidation on it. (little metal tab that spins inside the cap, don't know technical name ) Question is can I hit this contact with the wire wheel to clean the surface? Any suggestions are appreciated. M in KC
IMO, pitch it and replace with new.
88pathoffroad
You can clean it, yes, but the gap won't be the same. I dunno how important that is, but in the interest of best performance I'd buy the new $7 rotor.

It looks like just a phillips head screw is all that holds it in there. If it's anymore complicated let me know. Thanks, Daniel
