Speedometer?

So I changed my lower ball joint on the driver side this weekend. After I did it I noticed that the speedometer needle jumps up and down about 2-3 mph while holding a constant speed. If I pump the gas it seems to make it more visible. Did I mess something up? If so what do I need to check or fix?

Thanks,

Tyler

Sounds weird I dont know where there are any speed sensors in there. I think my wifes honda has a speed sensor right next to the ABS sensor on the front drivers side hub. Maybe it is a coincidence and your VSS sensor is acting up. Usually that is how things go for me. I fix one thing and something else goes bad.

I believe the VSS is in or by the tranny... he would have had to go to some interesting effort to foul that up while doing a ball joint... unless the timing just happens to be a coincidence.
