Hey guys im headin out to the junkyard tomorrow and can someone please tell me what bolt size are the ones holding the axle to the front diff? Al I know is its a 12 point.

Can I use a 24V impact on those to take them off without snapping the bolts?

Also would the 94 CV fit 93 28 spline I believe?

Thanks all!!! WAVEY

Thanks guys. Ill try doing it manually first if not a long extension should help.

Ill try to pull out the UCA's too while Im at it. Breaker bar should work on that right?

Last time i was at the junkyard i spent more time going back and forth to ace to get some T10 torx for the darn bumper trim piece..geez..It was rusted so bad that after breaking 4 T10 I gave up so this time I wanna make sure that those bolts on the CV and UCA's arent going to be a pain to pull out.Looking at it it doesnt show any rust on there

Thanks again guys

Yeah....breaker bar should work on the UCA's unless the bolts are seized, like one of mine was. Of course, the breaker bar lived up to it's name when I snapped the bolt. Meh....you'll get them off at least! :D

another good way to see if its the same CV is to count the # of bolts...older had 6 and new 5 or maybe the other way around...a good way to break the bolts is to place a wrench on them and if the front wheels are off the ground spin it so the hub locks and use the wrench against the framerail to break it loose (if your lucky enough to find 1 with a wheel and hubs still in place)

i had an issue with seized bolts on a cv...it sucked....
