Timing belt/chain?

I bought my '95 Pathfinder 1 yr. ago with 118,000 miles on it. It now has close to 119,500. How am I to know if the timing belt/chain has been changed? Does Nissan keep records of things that have been done to their autos' indefinetly?

If it was done at a Nissan Dealership, and you have some idea which one, you can check with them. Otherwise, they'd have no way of knowing.

If you don't know when it was done, do it ASAP..... if it breaks (it's a belt BTW) you WILL bend valves, and require an engine rebuild.

I put the little sticker that come with the belt on the core support. You may want to check for a sticker under the hood. I have also seen them on the upper cover, the hood, battery, intake maifold & the distributor cap cover. Look around & see what you can find, if anything.
