Changing headlight bulbs

Is the easiest way to take off the grill, and unscrew the aiming screws for the headlight fixture, and pull it right out?

 

I bought new GE Nighthawks yesterday. I live on a dirt road and don't want to hit a deer, and I'm too cheap for good driving lights... right now. And my pass side highbeam wont work.. another reason for the purchase. Darn things are expensive! $54 Canadian for the bulbs!

I'd take off the bulb retainer ring and pull the bulb out before I tried taking out both headlights as a whole. Just a tip.

Thats what I looked at doing first, but it looks pretty dern tight. I'll give it a try tomorrow. I just don't want to scuff the bulb trying to get it back in.

well I replaced my bulds...awile ago lol..but all I did was twist and pull. there should be plenty of room. good luck.

Yeah I did it lastnight. It was easy. I probably should have tried before I posted, but ohh welll... This can be deleted now, or something.

The new bulbs are a MINOR improvement, unfortunately. I was expecting alot more for $51. Just a whiter beam and different pattern.

same here. not much improvement.. thats why im going to do the whole rewiring the headlights thing. should boost the lights.
