Grille guard

Hey all, Im gonna make a custom (by custom I mean I cant afford a Nissan or AM one, so Im building one) Grille guard for my '91 XE. Its pretty smooth sailing, except, im not sure where to mount the brackets, i took a picture of where I thought the AM ones would go, judging by pictures. I also attached a drawing of the guard, suggestions?

where the tow hooks mount there should be 2 holes on each side almost parallel to the ground next to the things u circled...

i cant use these brackets? you said tow hookS... i seem to only have one, is there supposed to be 2?

Only one, but many people add a second one to the other side

Yep, I also added a 2nd hook, then used those points to mount my guard/fancy light holder. The first attempt had the right idea but failed (duct taping Red's mouth closed :X ) but version 2.0 is solid and going strong.

Is it a bad idea to use the points I circled for support of the guard? I just had an idea... If I take off the one hook, use those holes for mounting, and use the holes i was talking about. heres a pic
