94extreme
dude, your buddy doesn't need an fsm.. it's similar to your truck or any other vehicle.. take panel off.. unhook wireing.. unbolt the window motor.. replace and re assemble in reverse order.. this is basically as easy as it gets. if one is slow, maybe an hour or two otherwise under 30min. and you're welcome. k9sar
my 99 grand caravan had a drivers window that decided not to work. Simple procedure... find the screws that hold the door panel in place. Remove them. Pull on the door panel to release the clips that weren't designed to come out. Run out and buy a few new clips. Remove the door panel, unplugging the 2 or 3 little plugs that are keeping you from doing so. Remove liner by pulling. You'll need to duct tape it back on during assembly. Locate window motor... it's that motor looking thing in the middle. Decide how big of a cheapskate you are. 1. buy a new motor adn replace the old one -or- 2. Remove the 2 screws holding the casing with the magnets over the motor shaft. Blow out the carbon dust. SLide the motor guts out from between the brushes (carefully so you don't go 'twang') Look for burnt wires etc. If present, go back to #1 -or- Use a business card to remove the carbon dust buildup that is shorting across the nodes of the motor guts. Reinstall everything. ta-da! works like new. Cost me about 20 min and 0 dollars.
