87 Pathy Engine Stall When Cold

Hey guys... well i fixed my pathy with the running problem.. was the distributor and sensors for the intake... but yeah now when its cold.. it will stay idling for a couple seconds then drop and stall. i have to hold my foot on the pedal to warm it up for like 5 - 10 mins befors it will idle fine.. once warmed up it idles great.. and as well when im driving and push the clutch in the idle drops like a rock and dies. then i have to restart. i constantly find myself reving in between downshifts to keep it running.. what could the prob be.. i have another parts truck so im good to go for parts just dont knwo what this prob could be... thanks guys..

Could it be as simple as your idle (and/or warm up idle) being set to low?

 

Did you adjust the idle or throttle linkage while you were troubleshooting your prior problems?

no i didnt mess with anything.. where would the idle adjustment be?

no answer guys?? when vehicle is warm it runs like a jem...

My scanner does not work with my current OS or I would provide some pics from the manual... do you have a book to look through?

 

*I had similar problems but hesitate to mention them because that problem (along with several others) was traced back to a bad ECM

The wax choke may be sticking. That's the cylindrical dealie on the front of the TBI with two hoses going to it. The dealership techs tell me it's a common problem.

doesnt seem like thats the problem.. anything else.. like i said when the vehicle is warm it drives and runs like a champ.. but you have to keep it going or it will stall when its cold.
