Will 31x10.5x15's fit on a 1999.5 SE?

Hey everyone,

 

It looks as if my mom will purchase the 1999.5 SE. The truck is totally stock, and it does need new tires. It seems that in the stock size, the choices are limited. So I would like to have her jump to 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's, on the stock wheels and suspension. Will they fit without any problems? I know there is another thread about tire size, however it relates to a 1997 Path.

Doesn't your 99.5 have 16" wheels? If so, then no, 31x10.50R15's won't fit unless you get new wheels, too.

You may have issues fitting a 15" wheel on the truck... 99.5 they changed up the brakes, and the trucks come with 16's...

 

We had determined I could likely fit the 15" AR 767's on my truck, but with VERY VERY little clearance between the caliper & the inside of the wheel.

 

As for fitting 31's, you will likely have to trim the bumper a bit as the tire will rub. IIRC, I had to trim mine, and I was lifted at the time.

NO the truck does have 15inch wheels. So I guess the the 31's will not fit then.

They'll fit fine. I had 31x10.50x15" tires on my 99 for over a year before I lifted it without a single problem, no rubbing at all.

Even so, the amount that we trimmed was tiny, and you cant even see it, unless you have your head in the wheel well.
