  1. yeah ive had rodents eat the hood insulation. gross!
  2. I've never had any problems with dino oil, but I once loosened up all the seals in a DOHC honda engine with synthetic, causing leaks and burning oil.... car was made to run dino... It's cheaper to change dino regularly than it is to change synthetic half as often, so I stick with dino now!
  3. Yeah i too have heard various things, some say to drop the tire pressures some say keep them filled to cut thru the snow to the ground either way, i still keep getting my QX4 stuck everywhere
  4. yo whats the best thing to do with the tires in the snow?
  5. i gon hit that maui dank for me?? i would use a windshield shade if its outside... k eep ur dashboard nice
  6. is it mitsubishi?? what timing belts do u guys use and who makes the OEM timing belt tensioners? NSK ?
  7. wow i wish my radiator support was that straight!! mines buckled right in the middle pushed back so that vertical metal strip with all the sensors was pushed back and smooshed into my AC condensor splash guard is cracked and bolts are ripped out splash guard hanging on for dear life, doesnt really fit I wonder if i could drill new holes in an aftermarket skidplate to line up with my deformed subframe?
  8. can u explain what the inner tie rod socket is and what happens??
  9. u can get window lube at any home depot, ive been using it for years!
  10. i find that my roof rack whistles when its over my sunroof
  11. whoa, little rock is ghetto from what i've seen on TV
  12. u need a huge breaker bar and go clockwise
  13. i use it to check for speed traps on the highway.
  14. i have a cobra CB in my infiniti QX4
  15. The factory alarm is perfectly fine!! It has door sensors, hood pin, trunk pin, and electronically connected so that pressing buttons or unlocking doors will set it off. Also, the electronic key prevents anybody from simply using a copy made from VIN #. At most, I would add a backup battery so that disconnecting the vehicles battery won't kill the alarm. A fuel pump kill switch is very easy to install with about $5 worth of parts, and is a very good theft prevention even if the thieves manage to get past the QX4 ignition. Even with the best theft prevention techniques, you can't stop them from pulling your QX4 onto a flatbed, but that doesn't happen to pathfinders often. THats something to worry about if you drive a turbo rice rocket or a pimped out luxury car.....

    Hello again

welcome back bro! i dont know u but whats new? me & pezzy joined at the same time and now shes a mod yet im still a loser!!
  17. I went to the local off road shop (Off Road Warehouse) and they quoted $170 for the hubs, $110 for install, and they had no idea which hubs fit the infiniti QX4. The guys didn't seem too enthusiastic about finding out so I just left. Its a bunch of jeep fools there anyways.
  18. 1. Warn hubs - standard vs. premium - which ones should I buy and why? 2. Warn does not list hubs for the 99 QX4. Does anybody know which ones fit? Truck Spline count part number Pickup, 4 cylinder '90-93 27 28739 Pickup (&. Frontier), 4 cyl '94-01 28 29091 Pickup (&. Frontier), Pathfinder, 6 cy '90-01 28 29091 Xterra '00 28 29091 I dont know what size hub/brakes the QX4 has compared to pathfinder. Also, how large does the hole in the rim need to be??
  19. Finally rain in So Cal!!! Too bad it's done and the forecast is sun for the next 10 days. Anyways, I was out riding up some muddy mountains today, and it was too gnarly for 2wd to handle. I used 4LO for a bit, it makes a very loud whine noise (is that normal?) and I guess it worked alright, but it seemed easier to handle in 4HI. My question is, when using 4LO in an auto, should I leave it in a certain gear or is D sufficient? WHat conditions require 4LO vs. 4HI?? Do you guys have any special techniques with auto tranny?
  20. wow man those look great!! I wonder how they are in tough offroading conditions (mines a 4wd) And I wonder if they rub with stock suspension?

    spare tire mount

do you have that little chain and mechanism that lifts/drops the tire from underneath? the hole for it is in the rear bumper and you need that 3 foot long tool from undrer the seat to use it.
