I was going to recommend renting something for towing this weekend, I dont think you want to rush into this decision... read up on all your options, and make a decision from there...

Are you sure it was the same Echo Valley? that place was a bit frightening last year... As for the invite, I was on your board earlier this week, and was quick to forward the info along. Unfortunately, my husband is under house arrest with his family that weekend it seems, as it is Thanksgiving here that weekend... *grumble* Other wise it would have been perfect, I already have the Friday booked off, and Monday is a holiday... *sigh* How many more times can I say 'maybe next time'...

We're heading to Echo Valley campgroud, not too far from Rauch Creek on Thursday, aiming to be there early afternoon. We wheel Paragon on Friday, and Rauch on Saturday... Sunday I'm not to sure if we're wheeling - depends on the group... I think most are heading home.

We got lucky, a few days after christmas a member of SOXC got permission from his wife to upgrade his camera, and we happened to be online when he posted the Rebel for sale... must have been up there for 2 mins when we declared it SOLD!! My Dad has the same camera, so I knew I wanted it. We have a simple point & shoot HP Camera, which did us well last year, but after getting home from ECXC last summer and seeing what a couple other people's cameras could do (like clearly freeze flying mud in a picture) I wanted to upgrade...

Looks like I'll barely miss you... I'm sure we'll be running around picking up things for the trip, and packing up the X on Tuesday night... It's too bad, we usually have coffee meets with the Xterra Club near the airport...

what part of PA? You're starting to creep in to my neck of the woods. We'll be heading to Paragon & Rauch Creek for ECXC...

yeah, when I played smash up derby with my pathy I was stuck with a Mazda Protege for a month... that poor car was in such a sad state... as much as the gas milage kicked ass, I sure did miss my truck!

Most of his arguements were not well researched, and that's no way to present yourself. The bashing, and then deleting of Marcel's rebuttal lacked any respect at all... But whatever, I have a 'Tool of the Day' trophy for that momo here at my desk. ( you can tell I've settled down a lot since this morning... eh Marcel! )

I cant really help you re: your choice, but when we ordered my lift in April it took less than a week to get here (Toronto)... good luck...

We have the Canon Rebel - Digital SLR Skrilla, there really havent been many organized/posted SOXC runs this year... which is a shame... next time we're thinking of a run I'll keep you in mind... that will likely be in August I'm guessing...

Here it's over 90 cents in the morning... and starts going down, and continues to all day... I gassed up @ 84 cents tonight... tomorrow morning it will be up past 90 again... it's a friggin circus.

I do wheel with the Xterras, and I suppose you can say they are more cabable than my R50 (some of them), but exactly like you say, a lot of it's in the driver... I'm new to wheeling myself, spent all last year as a TB, and now this year finally driving myself... We have a pathy driver on our board that does all the tough trails the X's do, he wont back down, and I look at that and say, well hell, why cant my grocery getter do that to!! There is no reason I cant! I'm not afraid to use it... and with the right amount of skill, and good spotters we certainly can. Hello, have you seen XPLORX4's pics from the Rubicon trail... yes I think so. I'd say he proved us well... thank you very much!! :bow:

Well thats what sent me over the edge... I get razzed on the Xterra board I frequent, but it's all in play. No one would actually, honestly put down the pathy, or its capabilities... I chose not to join XOC & add to the smitstorm, although I really did want to rant quite a few lines off to this jackass... I never would expect an Xterra driver to say such a thing about pathys... I would expect it from some of those stereotypical gods gift jeepers, but never a fellow Nissan driver.

Yep, Precise, we just got our first paved road here in Ontario last month. Before that it was a BIATCH to get from the igloo to the corner store!!!!! :cool2: It was a lot better once they got the mountie out there directing traffic.

for the record, my pics... I suppose I dont wheel 'hard' in some people eyes, but I have fun. Ok, well maybe I was getting some milk and bread here... Had to stop by the bank too... I was on the way to work when it snowed a couple flakes and I threw it into 4wd... Traffic was bad on the way home, construction, had to go over a curb... Man, did it rain while I was on the way to the spa! ...another curb, *flutters eyelashes* oopsies... That was on the way to soccer practice. I'm recovering the X there... and once I went thru there I had to recover the Jeep. But I dont wheel, It's just a pathy afterall. [/showoff][/rant][/sarcasm]

actually, they moved it... The thread just kept going downhill... it's not even about what it started with in the first place. Sorry, I guess I got sucked into it... I was thoughly pissed at the way they were treating people, and then the "no one really wheels pathys" comment sent me off the deep end. I suppose we can nuke this topic too..
