  1. People don't seem to bat an eye hear when it hits 30 below.

  2. Welcome, nice to see more people from Colorado!
  3. The cluster is behind the gauges, its only a few screw and it should come out, might have to wrestle with it a little bit.

Actually I had no bent valves when I took it apart as I checked I had finally got it al back together and it wasn't running or idling smoothly... luckily theres the internet! I hadn't done the ignition timing after I got it all back together therefore making it running like crap, so today I did it properly and behold! It now runs beautifully. I'm glad to have it back, was definitely a learning experience.

Ok so got a new camshaft, pulled it apart got it back together today then tried to start it. Well it starts, on the first try, but it runs like crap constant fluctuation in rpm's, sounds like its misfiring.. While pulling it apart I ripped two hoses. One thats on top of the valve cover on the passenger side and, a small one that connects to the plenum into a something that is shaped like a circle and sits by where I would imagine the steering wheel to be in the engine bay. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, as I'm pretty sure all my electrical connections are right and my hoses are right. No left over bolts or parts...
  7. Not sure, but it looks like they needed some tool to get the door off..

So, a few days ago did timing belt/water pump/cam seals on my pathfinder. Got a new tensioner, put the belt on counted the teeth, etc. Well put it back together let it run for a little bit, and it seemed to be runnin fine so I took it for a test drive.. about a minute later the engine sound like a tractor, and I turned around and parked it in the garage. Took it apart again.. and find out I didn't tighten the drivers side cam sprocket enough and it slipped. Broke off the thing it sits on behind it and the belt obviously slipped. So... what is my best course of action? What needs to be checked and most likely replaced?

    Cams Seals

I'm sure I'm just missing something easy here.. but how do you remove the cam seals?
  12. Here's the video I saw the link on..
  13. Actually saw a youtube video with it linked.
  14. http://www.theeasyco.com/projects.html <------ Motorm4x Probably the closest thing I've seen that really focused on offroading, it just came out, however, it was developed by a small company so its only for PC and the graphics aren't near that of GT5. But I played the demo and thouht it was alot of fun. The environments are huge, and you can customize several parts of the car, though there are no actually "real" vehicles, they are all made to look like ones that exist.
  15. Thanks for the welcome! Since I'm here might as well ask some questions. How hard are the exhaust manifolds to replace by ones self, and what tools would be needed? The temperature and fuel (fuel light does though) gauges don't work is this probably the cluster voltage regulator?
  16. Well, I've been browsing the forums for a couple months figured its time to introduce myself. My name is Shawn, I live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and have been the proud owner of a Pathfinder since April. It's my first car so I hope to learn EVERYTHING about it , and these forums seem the perfect place to start. I haven't really done and offroading in a 4x4 myself, but have had experience on snowmobiles, and atv's, sooo as it looks like a ton of fun, I'm also hoping to get into offorading a bit. And now for my Pathfinder; Its a 1991 SE v6 manual with a Limited Slip, a skid plate in the front and one on the rear covering the gas tank. Its riding on 31" Mesa A/P Tires (They came with the car), and I believe everything on the car is stock. Both exhaust manifolds are cracked (they hard to fix?) the rear main oil seal is leaking and the water pump is leaking. Other than that everything seems to work fine.
