  1. Gentlemen My 95/5spd was starting to make rubbing sounds, kind of like when the tire is too big and is rubbing against the front part of the plastic fender flare, more like low frequency growling sounds decelerating in second downshifting into first. Turns out the T-case needs a rebuild per Empire Nissan here in Denver. They want about $2k to do the rebuild so its looking like I might be doing it myself. The thing is I saw the CALMINI reduction gear set and was thinking since I was going to be in there I might as well get those gears. What do you guys think? Will the gears mess with the driveability of the mostly street driven truck? Is there an online place that can do the rebuild, with all the case mods needed for the swap Im not sure if I can trust a shop here to do it, plus they would charge me up the arse to do custom work. Thanks Nicholas
  2. GUYS I only have pictures of the headers when I recieved them. Once I get the cat, and the borla installed I will post some pics. Here are the pics of the headers. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/chevel67ni/my_photos Let me know what you guys think. Nick
  3. Ill send the exhaust pics when everything is done. I would say thats fine to install the headers a little while down the road, couldnt hurt any. Definately thing about getting the cat replaced also, thats the bottle neck there. Nick
  4. I added the Thorleys and they fit great! It looks as if they were there from the factory, I havent tried to replace the oil filter yet though. I got mine from Summit for around $500+, but that was with the Jet Hot Coating. As for Pacesetter, I emailed them and said word around the forums was their headers were crap and that they were made in Mexico, the only answer was that they did move manufacturing back to the good old USA. I do have pics of the Thorleys if anyones interested. Nick
  5. Wheel I just installed Thorley headers and I think they are great. The install took around five hours so be ready for some head scratching. Also I personally think that the Y pipe hangs too low, a modification is definately in order. I also got the Borla exhaust and am getting ready to install that this week. Before I get that done I am going to get the cat and the pipes between the headers and the Borla replaced with a 2.5" unit and pipes. The place that is replacing the cat and the pipes said they will be able to get rid of one cat so that should free up some horsepower. I think the Thorleys are a great way to go although they are pricy at $500+ and the Borlas at $350+ and the new cat and pipes are $275, so expect to pay some cash. Also no I have to get the transfer case rebuilt, I just had Nissan take a look at it and they said it needs a rebuild in a bad way. Im thinking of going with the CALMINI reduction gears in the T-case since Ill be in there. Anyway thought I would share a little info, I have pics of the headers if your interested and Ill have some of the entire exhaust when its done.
