  15. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2621 lol there goes my buffer, its a link to the trans TSB
  16. The Trans sounds like the wd21's manual boxes infamous lack of lubrication, basically you need a replacement box from what i can gather, if you carry on driving it around it will eventually drop the bearings through the bottom and grenade, could take more with it if this happens. Park it up, get it done Read: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2621 Cheers dude.
  17. Some sweet looking occupations guys. Well what can i say, i'm apprentice panelbeater at a small business called Gateway Auto Body. We specialise in restoration of American & Australian classics, worked on alot of cool stuff. I work alongside the shop owner/my boss and a tradesman. Fun place to work get alot of @!*% as the apprentice but i'm sure anyone who was one would know about that. Couple of projects at the moment, 32 Chev pick up, with 454' engine. mark 3 ford zodiac (rust repairs, these things are the biggest rust bucket i have ever seen), 61' Ford F100 ute full body rebuild. Also do a little bit of import dealership touch ups and smash repairs. Long story cut short @!*% pay, fun and interesting job, good workmates, and you learn alot.
  18. in my trade, i'm taught never to put in make shift 'screw' patches. What i would do would require a mig welder and some rough skills, put a grind mat over the fuel lines, cut out, make new patch out of clean steel, butt weld it in and rust treat it. Nunya's idea probably wouldn't be too bad, depending on what type of vehicle compliance laws there are in your area.
  19. hey i used to have a honda! *points finger at greg*
  20. main thing as bigshoe i believe it was said, make sure there isn't a whine in any gear. The manual transmissions are notorious for being unreliable due to lack of lubrication of the gears. The rust under the back seats is a main thing too, if there is rust check if it has extra bracings on the rear seatbelt anchorages that usually allows it pass road compliance, or warrant tests with straight panel steel patches. Can't give too much info on the engine as mines a td27 turbo diesel not a 3lv6. I would go for it mate
  21. Hmmm i've never come across a 2wd pathfinder :O Only 4wd with 2hi,4hi, and 4lo? Enlighten me, theres a rwd pathfinder?
