did you verify that BOTH front wheels weren't spinning, or did you only look at one of them?
if your boot is torn and your front end is popping and clunking in 4WD, then yes it's your CV.

ya, my rear diff breather goes all the way into the frame/body above it, pretty high up. i wouldn't worry about water that deep unless the breather hose is missing.

And the truth about the TB spacer is that it doesn't work. If it did, people would be actually using them. Simple as that. Yes it may change airflow into the cylinders but the computer not being able to compensate has nothing to do with the fuel injectors. The computer is not tuned for the different airflow characteristics and it may run lean or rich depending. Larger injectors will only mess up the tune worse.
On a TBI engine it might help because of it being after the injectors (similar to using a spacer with a carb).
ium ya? we already decided it only works on TBI, not PFI. that's why it is/was such a common and effective mod on the TBI sbc350. add a spacer and supplement with injectors from a police pkg caprice.

I dont get how a throttle body spacer adds more air after the throttle body. It just makes the TB 1" longer essentially... Whats the big deal?
the spacer goes under the throttle body. it's simple, really.

i have the same wheels and yes they fit. the stock center cap will even fit over the hub.

right at the beginning of the video it looks like if you would have turned passenger @ full lock and backed up about 2 ft then cranked driver at full lock and driven forward. you would have gotten through.. but i don't know what your rear wheel situation is like either.
ya, we tried different lines for quite awhile. my rear was completely flexed out and spin city. i couldn't just gas through it because of the left wall and the sheer drop on the right.
the front had basically zero flex, so i'm going to wheel this weekend with it disconnected, to see how much less sucky my Pathy is.

the right way is to use a press, but as long as you're certain you're not damaging the shaft, then go for it. just make sure it comes off straight.
the axle has an inner and outer grease seal. you're only replacing the outer grease seal - the one in the hub.

i have rear LSD, but it's shot and not worth a damn. here's me in my open diff glory trying to get up this flexy section. a stock locked Nismo Frontier made it up without a sweat, right before me.

youre not changing anything on the engine nor increasing its ability to flow more air, and on that note the nissan TBI injectors will flow more than enough fuel for the VG30 engine
ok fine, don't stick your head under some hoods, but you should at least take your own advice and stick it in some books. a TB spacer adds air AFTER the throttle body, where the fuel is injected. if you have more air in the intake manifold but the same amount of fuel, you will have a higher air/fuel ratio - aka lean. this is the most basic concept of engine theory. for someone that's (supposedly) so learned on this subject, it shouldn't be that difficult to grasp.
the factory ECU is programmed for a given injector size if you change the injector size you have to change the fuel map in the ECU or else you've just pissed your money away on injectors.well you've already pissed your money away on a TB spacer if you don't have supporting fuel mods, so what's the big deal? the ECU only has a small capacity to accommodate a rich/lean AFR (read through the upstream O2S), by adjusting the fuel map. if you're leaning it out to the large extent that a TB spacer will do, then you had better have higher-capacity injectors if you want to see any worthwhile results. case in point: 88path's VG30i has a TB spacer with stock injectors, and he saw no change in performance or economy.

Is it possible to add more of the disks to increase the breakaway torque? I really want better performance out of my LSD, it seems like it is open
ya, mine is the same way. you can add more clutch discs to the stock LSD to give it as much bite as you want. you can even make it (nearly) a spool!
