  1. I've just bought a 1991 Terrano R3M (TD27) and it has a little pull out knob on the dash next to the rear wiper switch (just below the steering wheel). It has what looks like a picture of an engine on it.

Does anyone know what it might be?

I'm going to take a pic and post it here later today.

    Cheers...

**Does anyone have an owners manual (not the service manual) that might help me identify all of the controls inside here?**

Welcome to NPORA bud. :welcome: Not really sure what the button is, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to help ya.

  2. Mounting that winch sucked. someone at nissan wasn't thinking about winches when they designed the front of the frame. It points down at a slight angle and it is recessed behind the core support. It looked impossible as i didn't have a pipe bender or money left after the $1200 winch and gear to buy a bumper. I welded a piece of 2 inch square stock into the front of the frame after i beat it in there with a sledge hammer (make sure you get a big one)lol. I welded it all the way across the top and bottom. I then 45'd both ends of some 12 inch or so pieces of schedule 80 pipe. i welde the bottom of my winch plate to it and then it to the square stock. Once i finish cage it the tube will tie it in to the top of the frame right behind the stock bumper where the small holes are. And yes that is a stock bumper with 20 inches cut out of it and then bolted back on. It holds up good. barely flexes 1/16 of an inch under full load. post-5324-1209854892_thumb.jpg

Thats excellent man. I love that look.

  3. I wouldn't worry about Josh. I just bought my sunroof shade and wires from him, it took about 2 weeks, but I just got them yesterday. I sent him a PM on thursday, and he responded very quickly. Like Pezzy said, just sit tight bud. Josh will come through.

Anyone else have any shots of the crossmember that goes below the rear drive shaft, after they have modified it so it clears, no problems?

  5. The pictures will have to wait :(

My father attempted suicide yesterday... *sighs* I don't have much time for personal pleasures at the moment...

Damn Kitta, sorry to hear that. I know how hard that can be. Any luck getting pics?

  6. Here you go mate. If you find that it slows down your machine, just reduce the frequency the program checks for updated cloud imagery. It doesn't use much memory to move the sun belt.

    Excellent, thanks alot bud.

  7. *shakes his head* without a data plan, i get charged something stupid like 50 cents per KB sent *shrugs*

I got my digital working again - I'll get pictures today

Who is your cell phone service provider? Seriously bud, I'd rethink that plan.

  8. i have great news.... i recently found two new 4x4 shops at was willing to do some custom fabrication work on my pathfinder. both of them have never worked on a nissan before but i'm willing to take the risk. one guy was cheaper and one was more but i felt was able to deliver what i wanted.

so now the new bumper will only cost me for $300.00, i will have a C channel welded to my frame and a very nice and wide skid plate to protect my front end. this thing is very stong. my radiator will now be well protected. my pathfinder should be ready by tomorrow. i can't wait. i will only have black spray paint but i think that is just fine.

this thing should be as strong as an ARB... i also will have 2 bolts welded on top of the new bumper for future jack placement. i don't have any room on my spare tire swing arm because of my gas can mount.

so i'm very excited. next time i hit a steep decent angle, i will be very well protected.

Make sure you shows us pics bud.
