  1. Well I guess "a while ago" is subject to opinion. In my opinion 3-4 months ago falls under that category.

I don't really want to get into an arguement with you about it, because I've already conceded that I don't know much about what went on with you and the club.

I do find it important for people to set goals in their lives. I'm glad you've found yours.

As far as TNO goes, well we've got members who drive all sorts of vehicles. We have nissans of all flavors, jeeps of all flavors, suzukis and other odds and ends. We have several members in Houston area, DFW area, Austin area and so on. We're not a huge club, but we've got a great group of people, in my opinion. Quite a few knowledgeable people to help with pretty much anything you've got. There are local monthly meetings in Houston and DFW, even some in Austin, and it seems like someone from the club is always organizing a run to one of the many wheelin spots here in Texas. Even yearly trips further out.

If thats anything you're interested in, you're more than welcome to join us.

  2. Wow Ghostpath, thanks bud. I'm not really hip to what happened between you and TNO, and to be honest, as far as I can tell it was a while ago so I don't really care. But considering it was a while ago, maybe you could let it rest?

As far as posting other local clubs, the more the merrier in my opinion.

  4. I work for a chemical inspection company, we perform quality / quantity surveys on various products / chemicals. One of our biggest clients is BP. Our Houston / Texas City office handles approx. 25% of thier crude oil discharges. On average we bring in 1mil bbls of crude oil every 3.5 days. And this is only from the vessels my company attends. You can look at thier dock schedule for this refinery alone and see the huge volume of crude they bring it. Ships are lined up for months down the line.

My father works for a similiar company in Corpus Christi. While I was down there this past weekend he was telling me about a crude vessel thats been sitting offshore waiting to come in for 2 weeks. He tells me the vessel won't make it to the dock for another 1-2 weeks due to it missing its lay days and there is too many other vessels in line. A typical crude vessel of this size costs approx. 3500-4500USD per HOUR. There are huge amounts of money being paid in demurrage alone on these vessels. This is just one expense in this business yet Big Oil continues to rake in record earnings.

Its my opinion that there is no shortage. Its also my opinion that the price of oil, like everything else is driven by greed.

  5. Aighty, I have a small switch that I believe is an alarm - it has a small red light above it and three selections:

    Alarm Off

    Impact off

    Alarm On

That kind of made me chuckle a little bit. Good luck with the crazy mom bud.
