  1. Today is passanger side CV replacement and warn manual hub install.

Going to follow 01Silvapathy's write up...should be finished tonite and will report back in with results :)

  2. Use silicone grease, not a hardening sealant. You don't want to glue it closed. Lol! Anything to just add a little moisture to the rubber.

    James

Ah yes that is what i meant to say... yah i dont want to seal it shut...or do I? haha :jk:

Its funny cuz i think the window opening is so small i hardly ever just open the window...if i ever put anything in the cargo area, i just open the hatch because its usually bigger than the window opening...

  3. Ok ive searched for this one and found nothing...

Its been raining like crazy here for the past couple days and i believe my rear hatch window is leaking. If i open the hatch and lift it up, i can watch water drip down from the bottom of the seal around the window. I understand that opening the hatch reverses the direction of the water, but shouldnt the seal around the window stop the water from leaking in???

i do have a super nice Husky floor liner in the cargo area that catches all the water, but this is just getting annoying. Also, there is those 3 hard plastic quarter round shaped thingys at the top of the rear window...im missing two of them...I dont think that is causing my window to leak tho...

    Any thought?

    Thanks

  4. How wide are your rims and what backspacing did you end up with?

The wheels i got are 16x8 and have 3.75 backspacing...waited 7 weeks for them because it is a "special order", at least that what i was told.

And it was worth the wait! :)

  5. Hi!

    Linked here from nissanforums. :)

96 Pathfinder. Just ordered the OME lift from Rocky Road. Without the KYB GR2 = $525 shipped.

Unlike 4x4parts, they say with the OME lift, you don't need the $60 in camber bolts...

Not sure if my Pathy has the right backspace. Have only owned it for a few days....just knew for sure that it needed to suspension after 202k on her.

post pics when you complete the lift

  6. I like seeing all these DuraTracs!!! I can't wait to wheel them this summer and see how they handle. If they are any good, they are quite possibly my favorite tire yet!

Im with Rick13 on this one! Lets see more DuraTracs!

  7. I think it looks really good. I like the thinner tire look a lot.

I discovered my first split CV boot yesterday (after 3 years of running a 2" lift WITHOUT manual hubs) and after I got my similar rims I just pulled my rear wheels and spray painted the hub black. Just some other options/thoughts...

Its funny you mention that because one of my friends suggested the same thing...and i dont like the look of center caps.

I found this site --> www.rockfordcv.com that sells high quality (at least from the site it sounds good) cv boots for just about everything. Depending on the condition of my joint, i will just order some new boots from them.

Inboard boots is part # 166-23 and cost $13.52, while outboard is part # 166-21 and cost $12.93. Dealer wants about $50 for one boot!!! :omg:

Just thought i would mention that if you looking at just getting a boot.

  8. Yah it looks like i can fit a bigger tire when the wheels are straight, there is plenty of room to clear the strut, but at full lock the tires rubbed. And the next biggest size for the GY Duratracs i wanted wasnt going to fit (33's).

Manual hubs will arrive next week...

The entire grill use to be that plastic chrome, first i painted the emblem...then i painted the whole grill (sanded, primer, and lots of coats)...it looks ok in the pic...but its chipped alot from road debris. its only been painted for a year, haha, so it didnt last long. i like the look of the SE model grill a little better...i think its the honeycomb design...

  9. Very nice. Any side shots to see how they fill out the wheel wells?

I think you'll really like your GY DuraTracs. I've had mine for 6 months and they have been great through a Colorado winter.

    As requested... :D

  10. Nice! I just installed Duratracs on my 2" lift. Yours should be the black version of my white Pathy.

    Deal! :aok:

Do you have any pics of your pathy?

  11. Well well well...wheels finally got here today and i ran to discount tire and got the GY DuraTracs mounted!!! I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS!! :jig::D

I also took the mudflaps off but that was after the pics were taken...tires rubbed the inside of the flap when fully locked going left and right...but never rubbed the front of the fender...with the flap removed there is plenty of room.

and i did also find a ripped inner CV boot on the passanger side...boo!! so got to fix that soon!

hope everybody likes the pics! Tires are 245/75/16
