if you have a set of gauges you can do it w/o a shop.
your AC should run about 20F-30F less then the ambient temperature.. any less then that and you need a booster shot.

yeah, that's it.

hmm.. i couldn't find the thread.. maybe someone else started it but it is not in the how to's either.. sorry man but you have the right idea.. just have to have a bunch of extra clean fluid and it elps to have another person in the cab starting the engine etc..
-
that's exactly what his write up was like.. 5gal bucket, i think.
-
yes, find 88's thread in how to's on how to do the ATF exchange.

i burp mine by driving it. or you can just do it via the rad cap hole. the older versions had a little screw in one of the hoses running to/from the pump/rad that you unscrewed until it burped.

yeah man.. that's a bad fire hazard too... clean it out completely and then burn another one of those logs.. i bet your wood burner will work better then.
-
could be bad ground or a short somewhere too but definitely check to see if the alt is charging first.

i'm going to pin this for the time being.

I'll up my donation from 20 to 100 bucks... Just let me know how to donate. I hope by this time we are in the range of around 2500 bucks... then probably 300 bucks can be made through selling of shirts/calendar/stickers, etc...
on that note, watch for the real donations instructions thread that is coming SOON.
thanks guys.

you wash the tanks out before using them as bbqs
you can't really wash these chemicals out.. some burning may help but you can't really ever get rid of the stuff.. sure many may be doing it, but when you grow a third ear, remember that "i told you so".

yup. top of the bottle jack and in the bag there should be: the spark removal tools and lug wrench/jack handle.

some US states have some seriously funky laws related to 4x4s.. good luck mates.

depending on the house and furnace, you probably have a month's supply. MN right? but you could supplement your wood heating.. i did that with LP when i lived in the styx.
and yummy.. those burgers smelling like your house right now..
-
check the chimney.. you need to clean it anyway if you're going to burn a boat load of wood this winter.
the other thing could be that the baffle that segregates the fire box from the circulating air could be damaged. i came across that once but it was opposite of yours as the woods stove was the one that smoked me out of the house. lol
btw. heating oil is kind of expensive and not very efficient.

what's the smell?

how about trying turning the motor by hand (use the crank pulley bolt w/ a socket and ratchet) and observe the dizzy?

Being a college student myself and having to haul stuff back and forth too, I would go with the xterra over the frontier just because most of the stuff you usually carry isn't stuff that can be thrown into the back of a pickup. At least in my case.
pathfinder holds more cases of beer then an xterra.. there was a thread about this long ago.. lol
