nah, they'll let you bump it up 2"or something silly like the just like the other commonwealth down under.. there is a thread about their issues somewhere around here.. your dudes probably got that bright idea from the ozzies.

how's the clutch otherwise? this shouldn't be related to t-belt unless the noise is actually from up front?
there are a few different tensioners there that tend to do the chatter when they are about to expire.

my AT 89 one got 20 all the time.. the highest i ever got was 23 or so.. this one, 17 is probably the best i ever got out of it.

i have not found info that there are any other tanks then the 21gals.. the reserve is rather large in these..

I have never put more than 17 gallons in a pathy tank at one time in 4 years. Some people say they put in 20 gallons. That's a big difference in MPG calculation.
Miles per tank is vague, MPG is precise. Look in those other threads and I think you will find I have said the same thing in them too...

i wouldn't tell them.
17-19 or whatever.. all the tanks are supposed to be the same 21gal, right? besides, who wants to be doing the math when you can just post up your range.. that's the easiest and the quickest way to tell something is or is not right.

why is that unclear? there are plenty of threads here where we have discussed mileage per tank. and i had no issue answering him as that is a way many peeps keep track of their fuel efficiency.otherwise it is unclear... -

yeah, it's the axle seal that is most likely the deal here but you'd really have to take the rest of the components off to see better. but that is my 'guess' from what i can see.

alex is right on with his "technique" here. that's pretty much how all cars work. i've never bought any special tools.

I was told it was for starting without the clutch, but it doesn't work like that on my truck. Mine is either broken, or the button does something else. Mine only works when the truck is in 4low, then I can depress the inter loc button and the light on the dash comes on.
that's because you actually have to keep it depressed.. at least that's how mine works.
