Hello there and welcome

Hi, and welcome.

Kool, but, boy, does the RH wheel look weard. -bounce-

"Use gear oil with LSD additive in the rear diff. You can use the same thing in front, won't hurt anything."
That's what the dealer told me too, reagardless if it is LSD or not. And it seems that all the oils now have the lsd additive in them anyway.

Hello.
check the following thread Since the stuff fell out when you removed heads I am guessing this may be your answer. Good luck
-
Hi,
you have problems with your pathy?
-
Nissan defect- they forgot to drill an oil port or something in the block.
Hello!
The oil holes were more of a transmission thing then engine but then I just never heard of the Nassan motor ever blowing up.

Hi there.

ja jestem z polski. I got the russian translation from a russia/english dictionary online. I know the last part was not exactly wright but couldn't remember if it was на здоровьe or what I wrote. Anyway, welcome tell us about wheeling in Russia. Are you in a club?
-
well, the price went over $2 yesterday(2.o5 and up). I was able to fill up for $1.84 though. What a deal.

Awesome man. Thanks for further pics. V nice.
I'm considering putting the can like sw but it looks like he might have moved the spare too.
Since I smoke having the gas inside is surely out. Wouldn't storing it on the roof be a bit dangerous? Leaking....impact....etc...
-
looks good. yup, show more detailed pic if you please. I don't think I am going to move tire, I but would like to see the details. Maybe mounted a bit diff. Anyway, thanks for sharing...

добро пожаловать друг!
welcome friend!

if the tires are any different then the ones printed on the driver's door pillar or door then your actual speed will differ a bit from what you see on your speedo. If they are smaller then you are actually going slower then what's showing.
My tk turns about 3k rpm @ 70mph. That's what my 89 did too.

could be any of the things you replaced. go over your connections etc... make sure they are the way they are supposed to be/were. Is the distributor cap on straight/tight...? are the plug wires snug in place? are they crossing? did you knock something else loose while doing the tune-up? that could be unplugged or ...

Hi, don't be shy, tell us about yourself/your Pathfinder.
-
Two pathys kool. and I see the little one is all ready to wheel; that's cute.
-
-
Hi Dan, ahh that was my first Pathfinder too.
The rest you ought to post in the garage or year approp. forum.
-
I can get you one if you really need it. There are about five Pathys out in my local junkyard.
Any idea how much? I am gonna go by a couple yard here in a bit but who knows if I'll find a pathy.

shoot 88, i just remember one shaft pointing forward and the thing is bolted kinda to the side and back of the tranny. I did not see any leaks but will exchange all fluids just in case. The rear diff was done just a few k ago, i think. i'll be out in the country tomorrow to check and work on it some. The tires aren't here yet though.

hey there
-
Thanks 88,
it's on 4 stands right now but 30mi away so we'll try the 2x4 trick this weekend. I'm gonna try the stealer on that one too. We'll see if they could track it down.
OK, it's been waaay too long: t-case = tranfer case? is that the one to the driver's side and rear of tranny? engages the 4wheel drive with the forward drive shaft? that's where the noise is coming from. I though that was the front diff, but will have to look this weekend. darn, i wish i could find my old book...
I'll ask about the fluids on my next trip to the parts store and post.
-
try 4x4parts.com, they may have them. not sure though. I haven't dealt with them yet. I am having problems finding parts around here. I just hate to go to the stealer though... I've been out of the Nissan loop for too long. lol
One of these other guys should be able to steer you in the right dir...but try the above and see.
good luck
