  1. I have pro-comp 3000, can't remember exactly but they are the ones step up from stock replacements, and I really like them. much better then the gas gabriels that were on there from the PO. I feel the ride is awesome. It sure doesn't seem too stiff. I payed soomewhere around $30 ea. which I thought wasn't too bad at all.

  2. [so, it won't turn over, but it runs for 3-4 seconds? Your logic eludes me.]

Sorry about that, probably a little too hard to read between the lines on that one. I should have said that when I normally try to start it, it won't turn over. However, if I pop start it, it will run for 3-4 seconds and act like it's getting no fuel. But this morning I went to start it and she "[TURNED RIGHT OVER]," and has been running fine.

Sorry for using all kinds of "ELUSIVE" logic.

Hmmm? a wire grounding out somewhere before the starter?

  3. At this point, I wouldn't worry bout it unless it comes back on and stays on.  Could have been a number of things.  If it is an issue, the light should stay on.  If the light isn't on, I'm not sure you can pull codes to even see what the problem is, but I could be wrong on that one.

Yes, you can pull codes even if the light isn't on anymore. they are stored in there. read the sticky about the ECU codes. follow the directions and you should get something. it only takes a minute or so and no dissembly required. -study- good luck.

  4. as you can see it can be almost anything. When or how did this start? did you do anything to your tk right before that? if that's the case, retrace your steps to make sure everything is a OK. After that you just have to start the process of ellimination. Run the codes and see if there is anything there to point you in the dir of the prob. Otherwise, tune job (and timing,) filters (air/fuel,) and check all of the vaccum hoses for tight connection. good luck, hope your tk gets better soon.

  5. yah, what matterhorn said. they are there for a reason. If you wheel off-road I'd definately get that other bolt replaced. It the tap is holding it togather, you are prob ok for a while.

  6. Bonsai Kitten is a long-standing joke. They just put the kitten in the jar long enough to take the pics and then let it go back to batting balls of yarn around the house. ;) No harm done, it was OK afterwards.

I don't know about that dude.

Check out the link on the page, especially the 3rd one. I think that's pretty f bad. Shootin up the poor kitty with stuff; Cruelty at least. :(

    see here

  7. the pathy was on stock 31s allterrains. I wouldn't even dream of speeds like that on the M/Ts, plus I am getting a bit older too.

Now as to the mopar, yup, darn thing was a boat (buddy's) and he actually blew my doors away in some older Pontiac (I think) which was missing on 1 cylinder pretty bad and blowing oil like a street walker.

    Crazy times..... -alcohol-

  8. that has to be about 110 km/h correct?

    that'd be right.

    110mph?

I have had my Pathy up to 110 mph. Not as smooth as the 'stang or the benz though.

The fastest I have ever driven was about 135-140mph in a mid 80s Cordoba on I70.

  9. or just toss'em in. Swimming is a instinctual responce, they'll be fine. That's how I thought my dogs and they love swimming.

Whatever you do just remember that you are the Alpha not the dog.

  10. I am not 100% certain but I doubt that everything is grounded on one spot. All other cars I have ever worked on, every thing was always grounded separately, meaning that each component has it's own ground.

Since you are having ghost makes me think that maybe it's the voltage reulator. Please keep us posted on your results/solutions. Very interesting.

I hope you can get this fixed quickly and cheaply.... You can have your charging system checked for free at AutoZone.

  11. Time to put the ECU in a sealed plastic box under the seat!!!

A simple lunch box and some silicone sealent to seal around where the wires go and the mounting points work well!!!!

Not bad but what about the heat. Asking to fry it.

Maybe 88 knows or someone else who checks out other boards but there was a thread out there about moving the ECU to the glove compartment. It has enough of room and I think the cable is long enough etc.... Has anybody here done that?

In this case it seems that the glove comp stayed dry, barely but prob OK; and this case is one of the more seviere ones. ;)

  12. I forgot to post here a couple of weeks ago but this is the first time ever that the gas price actually went down 10c-15c/gal here right before the Memorial Day holiday. We also have The 500 and it allways goes up for that. ($1.87/gal)

Right now it even lower. I just got some last night for $1.77.

    election time is nearing...

  13. I called AutoZone to see if they sold ball joint presses [C clamp style] and to my surprise they will rent them for free! There is a $99 deposit, refundable on return. I'll give em a try when my ball joints come in. They should be here tomorrow if Im lucky. RC

yup, and that makes the job a real cinch. pop! and they are out. pop! and they are in. It really is that simple...
