  1. If shipping/labor across the border is a concern and your moving over to this side in a few months, I'd say 1st thing should be patience and saving some coin :aok:

     

    As for your build, are you plannin on a specific type of use for it? Just a daily driver, streetable mild toy, strait mud truck, etc. you would be suprised of your trucks stock capability with some good tread. I would suggest going through the 'members rides' section here and looking at some of the r50 builds there for inspiration though.

    R50 patffinders have their quirks like any other vechile on the road (check through the pinned stuff in the r50 section). But if you talk to the people on here who actually own them and have driven them for years you will hear minimal on the negative side :aok:

    Yea, we ain't against proper research and using an old thread for good info, that's what they are there for!

     

    And as said DONT STACK SPACERS OR USE HOCKEY PUCKS! A proper 2" or 3" body lift (most people jump on the bigger is better wagon but a 2" is plenty for some as well) is not only safer and correct, but will save you in the long run :aok:

  4. Ive had 1 and 2 together (or at least close enough to say so, I don't remember exact rpm anymore). It was at fault of the used Maxima Alty. I recently put in at the time. Different alty and I replaced the battery with a known good used one (preventive incase I cooked it from the ride home where it originally failed... Then Driving it for another week)

    How dare a junkyard part fail! :lol:

  5. I had issues with them a few years ago over a fuel pump that didn't last a week and was supposed to have a year warranty. I got every excuse possible trying to blame me from installation to ordering incorrectly and got absolutely no help. I rate them worse than CarID (which I had a terrible experience with as well) and don't understand the way people praise them over some 'exclusive' 5% discount nobody can ever find because google is too complicated...

     

    And I hope they do see this, places NEED to see their negative feedback to try to correct a problem that could cost them MANY customers. Word of mouth is way more powerful that a cheap commercial with a terrible song...

  6. One of the 2 times WhiteOwl ever overheated on me was due to the clutch fan failing (the other was due to a junk radiatior that was missing a majority of its cores :lol: ).

    If start with where B pointed you... Make sure the system is blead of air well (I always like to park on an incline or put the front end up on stands, helps force the air out), check for good flow. Save additives as a last ditch effort...

  7. Never had that issue, only time I would see a wd21 around here was at the pick a part, most r50s are picking up their kids from soccer, and the average Xterra would look at me funny because I don't have a Dick Dastardly moustache and wear thick black framed glasses with no lenses

  8. Your pretty well covered already besides I would like to add, don't be so quick to jump on the 'need lift and all kinds of stuff' wagon. If you pull the trigger, try it out a little as it sits... You may be quite suprised how these brave little toaster shaped trucks do in stock form with some grip and common sense when behind the wheel. Many a stock wd21 on 31"s have been proven around here to hang with big boys that have big bucks dropped into them. :aok:
