  1. I'm not too up to speed on Pathfinders yet. What is R51? The body style?
  2. I have a similar issue, but mine sets by itself and goes off when I open the vehicle. I don't have the factory keypad so I have no way of turning it off other then undoing the battery cable and waiting 10 to 15 min when the blasted thing goes off.
  3. I have a 1996 Pathfinder that I bought and I didn't get a factory key pad with the thing. The darn good for nothing alarm system somehow keeps setting itself and goes off when I get into the vehicle and because I don't have a key pad or anything to shut the darn thing off I end up undoing the battery cable and waiting for 10 to 15 min. Is there any way possible to permanently disable that good for nothing thing? Tried pulling the Keyless relays, but pull Keyless one the engine won't start and pull Keyless 2 you have no turn signals.
  4. I have no clue what the heck it has to do with it, but a little bit a ago I put the Keyless 2 relay back in to the relay box under the hood and the turn signals started working again. I pulled the relay out a few weeks ago because that darn good for nothing car alarm somehow kept arming itself, and I don't have a key pad for the blasted darn thing, and going off on me when I unlock the vehicle.
  5. That is strange because myself, I hate my spare tire being under the vehicle and most 4X4ers I know hate it too.
  6. They aren't original factory, but there is a place in Tampa Florida that custom builds brush guard for any make and size vehicle. I can't remember the name of the place for the life of me, but I remember that they are in Tampa and they did a guard for a friend's Xterra and they did a great job and it wasn't hard to install at all.
  7. Friend of mine has a 2003 Pathfinder and he put the tire carrier off a 1997 (similar to mine) on his and if I remember right the only real modification he had to make was the plastic trim pieces against the body.
  8. No, the person was talking about his tachometer going absolutely crazy which is what mine is doing. It jumps all over the place even when the engine is not running. Just turn the key on to the run position and it will jumps all over the place with the engine off.
  9. I know there is a thread here somewhere on the subject, I'm new here and couldn't find it again, but I have a 1996 4x2 Pathfinder and the turn signals (emergency flashers work fine) just suddenly stopped working. I checked the fuse and it was good and I have 12 volt (11.83 to be exact) and I replaced the flasher control that you have to take half the dash apart and invent a new dictionary of cuss words to get to. What else is there to check? Only thing I can think of is that the switch itself must of went bad and that thing is not cheap.
  10. Hello everyone. Wasn't sure where to post this, but before I signed up I was reading a thread about irradiate tachometer behavior. How do I find that thread again? I have a couple different electrical issues to solve. One of course is the tachometer which is really more of an annoyance than an issue and the other is my turn signals suddenly just up and quit working as in I got in and drive to the store and they worked fine. Got back in after the store and they haven't worked since. (Emergency flasher work, but no turn signal).
