  1. PM'd you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. There is apparently a way to read transmission codes by switching our ECM to a diagnostic mode and counting the flashes of your O/D indicator. I'll see if I can find the procedure for you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Aren't transmission codes stored in a different way than OBD codes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Where did you disconnect the EVAP line to find the plug? Was it where the EVAP line comes into the engine bay (driver's side)?
  5. When I was tracking down my rough idle issues, one of the things I did was disconnect the EVAP sensors and hoses to the canister. I drove around for a few weeks like this and oddly enough, I threw no codes. My rough idle didn't change, and yes, you could smell gas around the vehicle......why no codes though? 6. Yup, the local shop certainly does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You're asking about the EVAP system right? Not the EGR? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks. can you point me in a direction for some reading? I have no idea how to tell if cylinders are good or if drums are trashed.
  9. Boom! My mind was blown! I had this thought that if I removed the hood completely I could maneuver in between the engine and firewall and do the same. This may be better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Does anyone have any kits they would recommend for redoing or rejuvenating rear brakes on a 2000 R50? Mine are down to nothing.
  11. i'm not great at understanding it either, but as I understand it, when vacuum is applied to the EGR valve, the vacuum pulls up on a diaphragm and the pintle is what pulls out of an opening to open the valve. When they get carbon gunk on them, they don't seat properly. I'm not sure how to exactly check it. on mine, if I disconnect and plug the vacuum line going to the EGR, the valve will eventually settle closed after a bit of driving.
  12. There is a video on YouTube https://youtu.be/_EFvu76LQO0 that shows how to adjust it using TPS reference voltage. It is an okay way to do it in a pinch, but my pathfinder ran way better after using the Haynes manual method. See pics below.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I don't think the EGR would cause hesitation on the highway. But it would affect your idle if the pintle isn't seating properly. As for the TPS, after I adjusted mine the way the Haynes manual suggested by finding continuity in the 'Closed/wide open throttle' switch, my problems with accelerating and hesitation went away. Hang on and I'll try to take a picture of the page in the hayne's manual.
  14. Just curious....have you tried disconnecting your EGR vacuum hose and plugging it? It helped my issue..didn't go away 100%, but much better
  15. After you replaced the TPS, did you set it properly? It can be a bit of a ordeal to get it just right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have been having the same problem for a loooong time. Disconnecting the EGR valve seems to make mine better, but not a complete fix. I'm wondering if it is bad injectors.
  17. Thanks, I guess I'm pulling my skid plates off this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I don't know where to look for those?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The sound....a clicking clacking and sometimes a clunk. I crawled under there and noticed the control arm bushings are bad....control arms are the one thing I didn't replace. The other thing is there is a lot of side to side play in the CVs....no up and down, just side to side. When driving....steering feels loose, as though I need to turn the wheel too much before it responds. The other thing is that sometimes she pulls to the right, sometimes to the left. We're obviously married Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. if my cats are gone, how do I know for sure?
  21. Both the Bank1 and Bank 2 fuel trims read steady at -10.2% (at idle after a good drive)
  22. No oil burning. There is one pinhole leak near the muffler....(after the downstream o2 sensors. The EGR does stick open from time to time....would this be causing this issue? I'll check the field trim in a few mins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
