  1. 6 weeks ago I got an 01 QX4 in great condition. Nearly immaculate really. In fact I still have all the original nav system disks, the leather booklet from the dealership and even the pen that was used to sign the paperwork that says Infiniti on it. A week after I bought it a box truck clipped it while it was parked on the side of the road. Only the front fender was damaged. The insurance company salvaged the truck. I got to keep it and got a sizeable chunk of change, which I've been using to make some mods to it. I took it hunting a week ago and it got the name Squatchy the Sasquatch Hunter. Anyway, here's a quick photo progression. Day 1 Week 2 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 (yesterday) I have a 4x4 design (fleurys) 2.5/2" spacer set in it, 2" wheel spacers, 18" wheels and 32.1" Cooper at3 tires. Had to trim the front fenders and splash guards to get them to fit without rubbing. I'll be putting a 2" lift spring in the rear as soon as I can so it doesn't squat and top out with load in the back. I put a Rola Vortex rack on top shortly after getting it, have Warn Hubs that are going on this weekend, and am just about to order a curved light bar to mount on the rack. Tucked behind the rear seat there is a 48" hi-lift jack, D handle shovel, boys axe, tire air compressor, spare oil and water, roadside emergency supplies, survival pack and supplies, rations for 2 people for 2 days, and a wool blanket. (probably 100lb+ of stuff over rear axle) Still have PLENTY of trunk space though. The goal was to do a loadout like an Search and Rescue rig. I'll include pics if you guys want. It's been a fun few weeks so far.
  2. Just put new wheels and tires on yesterday. 2" lift from Fleurys. Need to pick the rear up another 2"
  3. I've been prowling looking an answer to this but haven't found anything. I've got an 01 QX4 with 2" spring spacers. Considering these wheels (18x9 +25mm bs) http://www.bbwheelsonline.com/ultra-gauntlet-238b-wheels-18x9-6x5-5-6x139-7-25mm-matte-black-238-8984B/ I don't fully understand backspacing well enough to determine whether or not these will fit. with these tires (Grabber AT2 265/70/18) http://www.amazon.com/General-Grabber-AT2-Radial-Tire/dp/B00521F4W6/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1443506153&sr=1-2&keywords=general+grabber+at2&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A6131683011 Tire diameter is 32.6" Running boards will come off of course I assume I would need to do some minor trimming to keep them from rubbing on the flares. Would I be better off going with a smaller tire or can I run these safely?
  4. That's pretty brilliant! I was looking for an alternative to my stock roof stilts on my qx
  5. I picked up an 01 QX4 a few weeks ago and I'm trying to replace a few parts. I know that most of the parts between the R50 and the qx are interchangeable, but there are some that aren't. Do they use the same fender flares? From looking at pictures, it seems like the flares off the pathy are thinner. Anyone know the answer to this?
