  1. I found a few, and this was the cheapest... but I'm sure there's a lot more. And I'd like to see if anyone's seen any for less... http://www.4by4connection.com/nissan1.html
  2. I had a similar problem twice this summer. I started my 94 up and there were NO interior lights, guages, radio, power windows or locks, or A/C, but the engine was still running. Which sucked because it was about 1:30 on a hot Oklahoma summer day with no A/C and the windows stuck up and no blower motor!!! I'm not sure if ALL of this is cutting out on you, but for me it was a wire coming of the positve battery post that was almost corroded through. I stripped and soddered the wire and it fixed everything! Might check the wires coming off you battery first to see if everything is in good condition, and then go from there.
  3. Does it make sense that it comes and goes? Sometimes it will run fine for a long time (month or more) and then all the sudden it qill start acting up again. It makes sense that the mixture is off because I can smell gas when I turn off the engine sometimes but nothing is leaking.
  4. I think there may be some rips in the boot. What does that imply? I may just take it somewhere else to get it aligned... and then probably put a SS on since it has a 3" SL and I'm looking into a 3" BL.
  5. Well thanks for the help guys, after about 3 hours with tin snips and a hammer, I got the back all cut up to hold the speakers and the front fit perfectly! Glad that's over and it sounds GREAT!
  6. Well I read the codes and got Heated O2 Sensor and Knock Sensor. Do I just need to replace these and would could these be causing my problems? I've never really heard of a problem with a knock sensor and didn't know that an O2 sensor would really mess anything up that bad.
  7. Hey guys, I have a 94 4x4 5 speed and at the beginning of the year my pathy was acting like is wanted to die when idling (clutch in). I changed the air and oil filters, and got the injectors cleaned in June, IIRC, and it stopped. And just this week, it started again. It pumps black smoke out the exhaust and acts like it wants to die. Also, it's jerky in first gear as if I was accelerating hard and then releasing the gas pedal, but it's fine in 2-5. I don't understand and everytime I take it somewhere, it doesn't act up so it can't be diagnosed. I'm in college and don't really have time (or the money) to tinker around with every little thing. Any ideas? I'm at a loss!
  8. Wow, looks really good! I like the hieght.
  9. Well sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been busy getting ready for school and getting going. Here's what Hibdon said is wrong with my front end causing them not to be able to align it: Front inner seal Front axle seal Front inner BRG (?) set Front outer bearing Front outer race Replace both wheel bearings Replace both half shafts REMN (?) CV complete assembly My pathy is only a 94, and I've only had it a year... could it be that this is just wearing out, but not necessarily all needing replaced now? I don't know a lot about front ends, and I know none of you can see it to know, but is all this really necessary for a post torsion bar crank alignment when the alignment was fine before I cranked them? And do I have any other options besides finding someone else who will align it without doing repairs?
  10. I got so frustrated about the rears that I haven't even tried the fronts. Should I get 6.5" for the front or can I stay with 5x7? I have rockford's too.
  11. So I bought some new speakers for my 94 pathy, and it's a good thing I did, cause they were shot! But I got the 5x7's and stared putting them in, only to find out the don't quite fit. The problem is, the lip around the speaker that you screw through to hold the speaker in is narrower on the new speakers, meaning the cone and supports are wider. The supports won't allow the speaker to go all the way, even though the holes on the new and old speakers do line up. I've thought about either cutting the four places the supports hit my sheet metal with tin snips, and I've thought about grinding away a bit at the hole, making the diameter bigger, as long as I leave the screw holes and enough around it to support the speaker. Has anyone else come across this problem or have any other, maybe simpler suggestions for me? Or does this sound like a good idea and it should work? I don't think I'll be able to work on them again until Sunday atleast. Thanks for the help guys!
  12. Alright, well thanks guys. I'll have to check on those things next weekend I guess. I have the list somewhere and the CL was on there I think. I have to find it. Well thanks for that website too, I'll let you know what I find out.
  13. Well I tried to get in aligned and one place said I needed $1400 worth of repairs first, but a family friend's shop said it was close enough to aligned that it's not worth messing with. As far as my tires being \ /, no one knows why? I'm thinking new UCA's anyway and a steering stabilizer. If my center link is shot, will a SS still help at all or even possibly be necessary? Are my ball joints possibly messed up and/or needing replaced? Thanks guys!
  14. Well hey guys, just lifted my pathy about 3" a little while ago, and now my front end is a little loose and my tires are closer at the bottom than the top. I know everyone says with too much lift you need new UCA's, will that correct my pigeon toed tires? Also, some of you talk about steering stabilizers, will that tighten my steering back up? Just some things I need to look into before I have to drive back to college at the end of the month. And if I do need new UCA's, I can call rough country and get the ones for the same year harbody (94)? Thanks guys! You're always a lot of help!
  15. Well I do want the protection, but I'm not looking to spend that much right now. Looks like I'm caught in a catch 22. I don't think I need a LOT of protection, but I don't want something that's right up against the body. Well guys, thanks for the help. I may see if a friend of mine can custom one up for me.
  16. It is isn't it... Thanks a lot, sometimes I just skip over stuff.
  17. Cool, didn't see one for a 94 though, but I'll keep looking. Thanks!
  18. Thanks for the websites, found a good roof rack, but I'm wanting more of an all black grille guard (not bull bar) and maybe one with a push bar. Thanks for the help guys!
  19. Hey guys, where can I find the best prices on a safari roof rack and a good grille guard. I like the one on 4x4parts but I've heard from you all that it's over priced. I can't seem to find a cheaper one, and don't know if there's is even a good quality. Also, I got stuck for the first time yesterday and quickly realized I need a tractor/high lift jack and a shovel and axe. I had the bright idea to try this little mud trail I'd heard about when it has been raining here the last couple weeks.... yeah I'm brilliant right? Well that was my first real off-road adventure and it sure was one. My boss, who drives a F-250 4x4 diesel came to get me out and he got stuck too. It was a fun 5 hours getting us both out. But anyways, thanks in advance for the help guys!
  20. Hey guys, sorry in advance for this question. I don't like the new search function and I can't find where the how to crank t-bars is. I know I've seen it before everything was updated, but now I can't find it. Can anyone help? I'm looking to do this sometime this week or this weekend. Thanks a lot and sorry again!
  21. That makes sense... so I can get the normal front and the lifted (longer) rears?
  22. What should work fine? The one's for the lift of the regular one's?
  23. Black as can be.... with some 5% tinted windows. I love the way it looks all black like that.
  24. Thanks guys! I just schedule mine for Friday... that's exciting!
