  1. Well, found out that it's just the tires. Thanks everyone for the input. Glad that's all it was and not something else.
  2. It goes through 2 to 4, but seems a little tight. It is a manual but not the trans. Has a rebuilt I put in 8k miles ago and it does it in nuetral at same speed.
  3. What does this interlock switch do? And what are these for? Factory sun shade? Thanks
  4. Well, since I just got my old pathfinder back, there is a new sound I didn't remember. The previous owner put a set of new tires on it, they're Prime Well's (I've never heard of them before) and there is now a high pitch whine starting at about 35-40 mph. The previous owner also had new CV axles put on and I was wondering if perhaps the auto hubs are not put back on correctly and the axles are constantly spinning in 2wd even though the tires aren't. My 4wd indicator light is also always on, which it wasn't when I sold it and it had actually been fixed once. Thanks for the help!
  5. I take that as a compliment, especially seeing as how you have quite a nice little collection going too.
  6. Well, for those of you that remember, I sold my 94 black SE 5 spd about 6 months ago. My thoughts were that my camaro would also sale and I could use that money plus a little help from my dad to get me a 1/2 ton crew cab 4x4 that I've wanted for a while. Well, camaro didn't sell and it's about time to go back to school and my dad lost his job, so there will be no help there. I found the email from the lady that bought my pathy and I offered to buy it back. She put $1000 in it including new CL and some ball joints and I paid $300 more than she paid me, and I got the pathy back. Think I came out on top on this deal! She's home again!
  7. Well, looks like a SAS... wanting to do coils instead of leafs, maybe even coilovers like this rig. http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/tech/071...sion/index.html If I'm getting a whole Wagoneer, what parts am I going to have to start acquiring? I know I'm going to have to set up my own steering, shock/coilover mounts, and control arms. I'm going to be talking to a local 4x4 guy here in town and seeing what he can help with and how much he's going to charge, but just wanted to get an idea now. TIA!
  8. Will do, just so you know, I won't have any instructions or anything like that, but I'm sure it's all pretty self explanatory. I could probably take pictures of where the parts came off of....
  9. Well, it is just a trail rig and as I'm going back to school in a month, I won't have a lot of time to wheel, but know someone who could do/help with the SAS.
  10. I'll post some pics up this afternoon. The IA DID bend the first time, new one is on and pretty sure it's bent a little, but not as much. It's weird though, when I was climbing rocks and hills when it first started happening, my buddies were telling me the tires were fighting each other and toeing in, but when I'd get to the top and stop to look at it, they would be fine....
  11. Took the pathy out for her first offroad run on Thursday and about half-way through, I noticed the steering starting to suck real bad. My buddy that was in front of me said that my tires were both angled in and fighting each other. Had someone look at it and they said the idler arm was bent. So, took the one off my parts car, (great to have one of those) and adjusted the tie rods to align the tires within .25". Took her out again yesterday and did fine for less than an hour and then back to the same old crap! I got the pathy and the parts car for $500. It's an 87 and I'm pretty sure the whole front end is close to being wore out. It's got a TM lift and before I got it, it had been sitting for 6 years. Found me two good donor vehicles for a SAS that run for $400 for both so I could maybe even part it out and make my money back. Even got a friend to split the cost with me for a SAS for his yota. In the long run, would I be ahead to just go ahead and SAS if that was my plan to do eventually anyways, or figure out what's wrong with the IFS and get it fixed? Thanks for the help and opinions everyone. Greatly appreciated!
  12. Tinting it how it is will look fine. Here's a pic of my 94 that I put 5% tint on, including the rear window.
  13. If I had a 94 4wd parts car and found a 99 2wd pathy for sale, would I be able to use the parts from the 94 to make the 99 a 4wd or would the parts not interchange? TIA
  14. Well I found a good pic of another vehicle with this setup. http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarticles/su...n/photo_05.html Also looked at Calmini's website for the UCA's you mentioned. Do you know if they would even bolt up into a WD or if the spacing is different?
  15. Sorry, should've searched. Ran a search right before I asked about this that took me around an hour to wade through and I got lazy... horrible excuse, but that's what happened. Thanks for the help and the links, I'll search if I have more questions.
  16. Does the square footage mentioned on the kit assume only 1 coat?
  17. Thinking about ripping to carpet out of the 87 pathy and lining it with some kind of bed liner. It has no panels in the sides anyways, so I'm thinking I will just stuff some insulation in there, screw some sheet metal on it, and then line the whole interior. Anyone done anything like this and what do you recommend? I was at AutoZone and found they have a HercuLiner kit for $90 that does 60 sq ft. But then next to it I saw a Rustoleum kit for $17, just the rollers and such, but the gallon can of it was only like $20. They also have Rustoleum undercoating for really cheap. Any suggestions or pics of what anyone else has done? TIA!
  18. Link That should be his write up. Most the pictures are deleted now though.
  19. Lol, always an option, just looking for a cheaper more immediate solution.
  20. So his problem was that with the coilovers on the LCA, anytime he flexed out his front suspension, the UCA would bend the shock? Thus your suggestion of putting it on the UCA, so that nothing like that would happen. With a 3" BL and the TM SL, it shouldn't be too big of a deal to put some mounts high enough without essentially hitting the hood, would it? The concept seems easy enough, but I don't want to miss something simple and screw everything up like he did.
  21. I'm a bit of a novice on this, so I'm going to see if I'm understanding right. I could get rid of the torsion bars and get coilover front shocks mounted on my UCA's, but I'll need somewhere fairly high to mount them, right? And this should work fine?
  22. That was my problem as well. Finally just took a hack saw to the floor a week ago and it worked just fine, lol.
  23. Could you post that link? That sounds like it could be easier. I'll try and get pics tomorrow... I'm going to be really busy today.
  24. Front setup on the pathy or from a yota?
  25. I'll try to get some pictures of the yota setup and I think I have pictures of mine in the pics and vids section. The problem with the tbars is that it drops them 3" in the back from the stock location so you have a huge problem with being more apt to getting high centered. You can see the drop on these pictures. I took it out yesterday for the first time and 30 minutes in my alternator went out so I hadn't had a chance to get into anything major yet. .
