  1. I've seen new sets of valves for under $100.00 and head gasket set for about the same but the labor to remove and install the heads I'm not sure about.
  2. I agree with the last post a bad diode will drain the battery when its not running.
  3. I used a plastic coated tag from an extention cord or something I found in the garage. I was having the same problem as the OP.
  4. Of the few rear main seal areas I've seen there was a groove on the crank sealing surface needing a repair sleeve to properly fix it. And yes that job is a PITA. I'm referring to the VG30 engine here.
  5. Water shouldn't hurt. I've been in salt water half way up the doors and rain water up to the headlights and never had electrical issues. These trucks are well sorted out. that's one reason I just purchased another one for my daughter for school. Happy Wheeling!
  6. Thanks for the replies. I'm really interested in newer models that might interchange because of a lack of 90s models in the pick n pulls in my area. Thanks for the help.
  7. Looking for information regarding a manual transmission interchange for my 92 4x4 pathy. I thought I read about it somewhere but cannot find it now. IT listed year models I think up till 2004 but not sure. Any help would be appreciated as I feel the need to replace miner various noises. Thanks in advance.
  8. My 92 is doing the same thing. is there a module difference between 92 and 95 model years. also between standard and auto trans.
  9. Hi I was just reading about the lifetime seatbelt warranty and I didn't read anywhere if you had to be the original owner or not. I have a 92 with the same issue. Thanks for your help, Ken
  10. Thanks for your help especially with the crankgear, I'll start soaking it with penitrating oil when I get Home
  11. I'm getting ready to rebuild my original engine. I found a groove In the rear seal area possibly from the seal lip. Is there a sleeve kit available? Any recommendations on an overhaul kit. Also a question about the lower Crankshaft timing belt gear removal. Thanks for your help.
  12. Thanks RedPath88 I'm new to the site and haven't worked out the search option yet. My fuel gauge doesn't work so I have to calculate when I need to put fuel. I was reading about the fix for my problem. Something about parts from Radio Shack but still not comfortable with the construction of the parts. I haven't called Nissan to get a price of the regulator that I need. Thanks again for your help. Ken
  13. I've been looking for some info o fuel capacity. I just got the pathfinder and saw that it has a different style tank than my truck had. Anyone know about it.
  14. I just finished installing my 95 vg30e into my recently purchased 92 pathy. My 95 didn't have the egr valve like the 92 did. Should I be using the ecm from the 95. Not sure if it matters, truck seems to run fine so far. Only the first week on the road though.
