  1. Last week, getting ready for gambler. Yesterday New winch rope and fairlead. Today, if i get off my ass. New LED bulbs for my spot lights, new headlight bulbs, replace a window, vacuum out glass. Lets try this again, how could this go wrong, how hard could it be?
  2. Ban for not meeting everyone's unrealistic expectations Lets try this again, how could this go wrong, how hard could it be?

  5. Santa Cruz Mountains. I've checked in but somehow missed this thread. I guess I checked in on NorthWest? Tried to get more involved and had to move, got distracted, checked back in, got derailed and gave up. Now I'm back, sorta. I'm up for a run just about anywhere. Hollister is closest and would be rad, but Shasta, Tahoe, Pismo, or wherever. Prefer Tech/Trail. Got into wheeling with my 1st truck, 92 XE in Reno. Drive way out or way up, Camp, adventure, camp, go home. That should accurately convey what I'm into. Truck is running rough, but still running strong, bunch of exhaust escaping where it shouldn't. Trying to get it fixed and rebuild it. Willing to take her out and let her run around before I start the rebuild. Worst that happens I blow up the 3.0, and have to build a 3.3+, oh darn. Try to check in more and figure something out. In process of Brat project so if something happens I can get to work. Once ElCamini is running, Game on!!! Also, There's a dude that just moved to SC, CA that has a nice R50, he might be up for local meet aswell. I would guess he is on FB group or on here but still tagged in AZ/NM. He was getting work done at the shop across the way from mine. If he comes back in I'll give him a heads up. Think his tag Desert something. K, need to get back to transfer case shopping. Night Hooligans.

  9. Banned everyone for letting the game die. Wtf?
  10. That's awesome man!. Same here with the never going to own a house here. Going either south towards your new area, or north, outside of Bend. I like desert, and the mountains and woods. Cheaper south, but trying to think about how it's slowly getting warmer in summer and wetter in winter. Tough call.
  11. Works for me. You are not on the Facebook I assume? Or have not tried to add Jim yet if you are?
  12. Banned for that one thing that one time.
  13. Banning Slartibartfast for calling an Overbite an underbite.. Underbites can be cute, overbites are terrifying. (Technically it is a person Above me)
  14. Banned for killing the thread and leaving the lights on. (You were the last one out... just saying)
  15. Lets do this! I want to do a meet anywhere on west coast. I know a bunch of us are in CA, OR, WA and BC/Vancouver. Kinda wanted to do a local-ish meet or maybe even 2, one north and one south. Suggested it to the kids on the Facebook, but they're kids, sooo... didn't happen. I did get directed to the national Xterra / Path meet in TN, which sounds awesome, and in Tennessee. As for Central Cal, Tahoe/Reno is a good middle ground for west coast. Tons of trails and camp grounds up in Sierras. Prairie City is out that way if we want a state OHV park in Cal. Or more towards the coast is Hollister Hills with 800 acres for trucks (3000 for quads n bikes), camping and picnick areas. I would be willing to go to Shasta/Quincy, some great camping spots with a solid set of distance semi tech trails. Also be up for going south to Pismo which also has camping (Oceano Dunes) or Hungry Valley? There are parks all over Chico Area. Private or state. You can look up local ohv allowed fire roads and trails through state park sites. Clay Pit is up there too, which is State OHV Park. OHV parks are way more fun, but the state forestry parks that allow OHV can be almost as fun if you know the right spots.
  16. Roadkill is awesome! I watch the Mecum and Barret auctions on speed channel at work. All the older dudes that come in are gearheads as well, so keeps em entertained. Also, my drive home does me ok. Highway 9 through Santa Cruz mountains is pretty nice drive. Winding 2 lane road, then pull onto my road which is partially paved, and that part is pretty bad. Playing dodge the potholes, or aim for the potholes is kinda like a tech trail.
  17. Banned for not recruiting more people to Ban...
  18. Ban myself for being jealous of your 14 birthday tags?
  19. Banned for not cheering up buttercup.
  20. Banned for succeeding (Clearly we were)
  21. Yeah, that was pretty rad to see it separate and everything just rip out. Look like maybe Jeep wheels? Nissan ever offer a 5 spoke alloy? Too bad he didn't just give up early. Could have donated that pathy to someone here. Maybe Jim.
  22. Hey Reno! Welcome! One of my fav trails is backside of Virginia City, or stay on dirt all the way to Tahoe. You should be able to do both in a unibody. I did in my 92, but like you said, with your 91, Surprisingly capable.
  23. This is pretty late to be coming into, but I'll keep my eyes and ears. Honestly I've learned it either stays close and gets abandoned or picked up pretty quickly or it’s 400+ miles away. Santa Cruz has a huge problem with Bike thieves, and so does Santa Barbra. Both college laid back beach towns full of bikes up for the grabs. Somehow no mater how many bikes go missing both towns seems to maintain same bike population. CHP pulled over a suspicious box truck on 1 going from SB to SC. 50 bikes in back. They started checking them because a box truck doesn’t have much business on 1. Found quite a few bikes. They bring SB bikes up, take SC bikes back down. Also this happens between Portland/Seattle and SC. This can be practice with vehicles as well. Move vehicle no less than 300 miles, swap doors n dash with junkyard donor and sell it on that VIN, or just part and scrap it. It’s more likely to pop up down here than up there. A lot of ties from Oregon to Santa Cruz Mountains, a lot. Quincy or Tahoe/Reno is likely as well. Like I said, It’s a bit late, but I’ll look. Just started a job in SF East Bay doing construction, good place to find ranch trucks, I’ll check up there. There was a rattle can black 4dr 93 or newer for sale couple months back, but stock wheels and bumper and no lift, so no luck in my neighborhood. My 90 has an alarm that I hate to set because it has a habit of going off on it’s own. But I do use it when I have to. When I’ve had too many I hate to leave it at bar, but won’t drive home, so generally I just camp in it. No back seats, pulled all my carpet and plastic because I use it for work and don’t want to damage them. Best theft deterrent I’ve found. Great little camper. Not as roomy as your Suburban, but they are great little campers.
