Drilled and tapped to 5/8 course thread... Severe pain in the a$$... Also measured my rims the are 15x10 rims not 15x12 like I thought... Oh well 5 days on a cruise boat then back to finishing the pathfinder yay.

You sound like my dad lol he was a machinist and the shops lead qa qc inspector
-
Nothing a tap and new bolts won't remedy... But other than that everything else is going smooth new centerlink... Better designed, new idler arm; strut rod bushings fun fun fun
-
And a few more
-
So brakes locked up on me, so I figured I was this far I might as well do the bushings that needed to be replaced... Well the genius who did my last alignment galded the UCA mounting bolts... Here is some pics
-
ah so that is my abs unit...

Hey guys n gals what is the valve thing on the frame rail that goes to your rear brakes? My parents quest had one also it looks like an inline pump
-
Gv280z is playing that too

The 4.3 is a marvelous engine. It is basically a small block chevy with the back cylinders cut off. That is why it is the only v6 that has made it through the decades the only other 6 cylinder that is comparable is the inline 6 300 that ford had...in trucks at least. but they are beast motors for sure!!

Xterra would be the logical move if you wanted to stay with Nissan, but... If you really like Pathy's they can be had a plenty out of state. New Mexico, Aridzone have plenty, I know that. It wouldn't be too hard to find one within a long day's drive and spend a weekend getting it.
By Pathy, do you mean only WD21s? Don't discount the R50's they have proven their worth over and over and have some advantages as well, expecially if you go with a 2001-2004 with well over 200hp. If I ever build an R50, it would be a low mileage 2003-2004, and while I've never driven an Xterra, I suspect I'd perfer an R50...
B
There are some r51's around and some really tore up r50's.... I meant all pathfinders though.
If I could find another it would be amazing because mine was a diamond compared to some of the ones I have seen in a 200 mile radius of me. And Arizona is like an almost week long trip from where I live ( round trip) like I said it had me thinking... And I'm just a curious person

Do in the wake of my accident it got me to thinking what if my truck had been totaled? There are no viable pathys in the area what would I move on to? I finally came up with an answer I would go with the xterra, blazer/bronco, or another 7.3 diesel....So now I ask you the same question my NPORA brothers what would y'all move onto. No judgement if it's not Nissan just curious, only rule can't be a pathfinder

So I noticed one difference... The head rest, my 94 XE has solid headrest, while gv280z 94 SE has holes in the middle
-
I also just found out that the back seat reclines... I thought it only went forward with that handle
-
Guess that is the bad thing about us being all over the earth we can't run over and help them figure it out, or bring a 6 pack and a lawn chair to watch them j/k
Maybe I Miss understood him it said that when he came to a stop it started surging.
-
The idle air system might be surging the motor in an attempt to keep it from stalling, but if the motor's warmed up, the idle air system can't kill it.
Had a 01 exploder, iac stopped working and it surged at any temp, at idle; haven't had the issue on the pathfinder so I can't speak for how'd it act on a Nissan . I noticed y'all generally refer to it as the iac motor, on the fords and Chevys it's an iac valve just spring and diaphragm...

Yep, the 94-95 models have an electronic gauge cluster that has... issues sometimes. First thing is to pull it and check all connections and tighten down the brass screws on the printed circuit in back, they are the ground points.
Huh I never knew that could possibly resolve the issue, I have a few cluster issues maybe that might fix them... Gas gauge waiving slowly until I hit it etc
-
You'd think that, but they have weird crap wired in with other stuff, or could be your whole cluster they apparently have a tendency to crap out
-
I think he is asking do they fit the top and bottom of the coil spring
-
If it's surging at idle could be the idle air control
-
Might have blown a fuse for your cluster

so i saw 2 funny things this weekend while wiring up a guys Barn... 1 was a 4runner (1st gen) lifted like 12 in. sitting on 44's (try to get a picture when i go back out there) and then also i saw a ford ranger early 90's with what i swear looked like a 2 door pathys hatch cab, had the little triangle windows and the angle where a lot of people cut them off at.(if i see it again i will post a pic) oh yeah and nunya...
-
Yeah x2 on everything, I use gates belts and hoses... And I have a commercial account at my local Oreilly auto parts so I get a discount. So I get their new water pump and such.
Hey B did you do the wife's ? How much different is it than the 3.0
-
As far as I know, it should LOCK all doors and hatch with one turn, when unlocking one turn is drivers door 2 in rapid succession will unlock all doors and hatchMine unlocks all doors with one turn of the key in the drivers side, I assumed that this was normal? It's got electric windows so I can always hit the 'all doors locked' switch when I get in if I have to. Passenger side door lock was tampered with, I think someone must have tried to break in a few years back because it wasn't like that when I got it.

Took the R52 to the dealer for damage assessment of the fender bender the wife had... And to get the fog lights installed
It's never easy
in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders

Well she is out of ICU and in recovery, still a few minor things like alignment needed and reinstall my damper and put the new sway bar bushings on... Also still need to drill tap and install my skid plate as apparently all the factory bolt broke off on the original with the PO...
