What fans are you getting? I had a few cooling problems until I installed a Ron Francis Wiring temp control module, works great now!

I'm getting a Hayden rapid-cool 16" *HIGH FLOW* electric fan with a thermostatic wiring switch kit. Also from Hayden. About 150$ all together. Picking them up today.

I use an altima fan currently with thermostatic switch, but will be upgrading to the ford taurus fan which is sitting in the trunk now, just need some time to install.

  7. Adios p1320 and p0304! Changed out ignition coil on cylinder 4 last night.. Was getting p1320 Primary Ignition Misfire and p0304.. Cyl#4 Misfire. Of corse the most difficult one to replace. Under the throttle body and behind the air intake we go!! Reste the eheck engine light and keeping fingers crossed. Hope I dont get any more misfires although I've only got three more coils to change if I do. #onebyone # proccessofelimination LOL

You didn't have to remove the throttle body, just the air intake tube and the IACV which is secured by two Phillips head screws.

I've done it soooo many times already I think I can remove the throttle body and put it back on with my eyes closed... Codes are still gone!!! WootWoot!

  10. Sway bars..? Keep 'em or Ditch 'em??? or make Disconnects?

I highly recommend discos. You really need sway bars in emergency type maneuvers, not cruising the street. With Disconnects you'll still have them on the street. And how long does it really take to disconnect them?

If you tow at all I would recommend disconnects or just leaving them on.

  13. Warn manual locking hubs vs. Stock auto lockers for the 2001 R50..? Any comments or suggestions? Are they worth spending the cash on them and having to get out to lock up the front?

    1. tdauria

      tdauria

Im by no means an expert here, all my knowledge is coming from reading posts in the forum when I was making the same decision for my 95. From what I understand the 2001 has drive flanges instead of auto hubs, which act like locked hubs 100% of the time. By installing the manuals you wouldnt be spinning your cv's all the time which will give you a little less rolling resistance and maybe a tiny mpg gain. More importantly it will reduce wear on the cv's lengthening their life which i...

All of the above plus extra gas mileage. I've never regretted putting them on my 96.

  14. So this afternoon I plan on changing out my front sway bar end links and sway bar frame bushings. I have been hearing some unpleasant sounds from the front (as well as the rear) rattling, clanking, metal 2 metal, popping... etc. Looks like the replacements are easy to DIY..? Any thoughts, comments or suggestions. Is this as straight forward as it seems to be? Is there anything I should be aware of before starting? Do I need to adjust the camber of the front wheels as part of this repair? Wil...

you wont have to mess with the camber, i had to cut one of my links off because it was seized, use lots of pb blaster and should be good to go!

  15. What's up? I'm Jon a.k.a. CNAMDAFENOM.. I'm new here to NPORA. Just getting the feel of it.
