  1. So my OE Yokohama Geolander HT-S 255/65/16 were looking pretty worn and cracking on the edges. I initially wanted Toyo Open Country AT2s or General Grabber AT2s and also considered other options but they were all so damn expensive and tire rack doesn't seem to be much of a deal anymore due to shipping so I went local and got some Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 P metric in 245/75/16. Here are some pics, 5 miles on them so far and they feel nice. They are 30.5 in vs the OE 29s. The ride seems higher now and I haven't experienced rub but I also don't have front mud flaps anymore. On to the pics.
  2. I was shopping around specifically for Grabber AT2, Open a country AT2 and no one in the area has them for anything but for a ton, Grabbers are no longer cheap. I found a shop locally with DynaPro ATMs for $158 ea for my 04. They are not 10 ply but are P metric and the guy said that'd be more than fine but will I regret that decision? I am set on an AT tire for my on and off road endeavors but $800+ is a bit steep for me now
  3. Does anyone have a part number or pics of these clips that I'm expected to break?
  4. I looked under and in the wheel wells for rust and there isn't any.
  5. I knock on it with my knuckle and it's strong, I'd probably have to hammer it to break it.
  6. I have stock 04 SE wheels. http://www.finishlinewheels.com/prodimg/ALY62408U.jpg
  7. It literally looks like a swollen laceration that could be stitched.
  8. I have a 2004 SE and I found a rust crack on the hatch pillar, near the hydraulic on the hatch. It is about a 2 inch crack, it's not soft but what the hell do I do about that and how did I get it there?!
  9. Ok well I haven't had time to change my oil yet considering my schedule, I am a couple hundred miles over but still have the Pennzoil and filter in my truck and plan on taking it back. What would be recommended for a 5w30? What for a semi-synthetic? How about castrol? I'm going to be changing it next week when I am off from work.
  10. Ugh! DuraTracs are so damn expensive! What is the tread life on them anyway?
  11. I should just swap out the 10w30, it's what the dinks at autozone said was required according to their computers which I should have known better. I'm going to take the stuff back as well as the filter and just go to NAPA like I usually do
  12. I read all the reviews on discount tire and there were quite a few people that had issues with them, especially in snow/ice.
  13. I have an 04 SE with 124,xxx on it and am about to do my first oil change so I picked up some Pennzoil 10w30 High Mileage. Has anyone else here used it? Any recommendations for a filter?
  14. I don't like BFG All-Terrains, they get too mucked up in anything wet and muddy, same with snow and I don't want a MT tire.
  15. I don't think an MT is a good idea considering how much rain we get, even though rain creates mud I might not be able to run that size due to the aggressive tread.
  16. Why and are they worth the extra money over the rest?
  17. Alright well I've decided to go with 245/75/16s on stock ride height, mud-flap delete and a little scissor work makes them work fine apparently BUT! Now we're on to which one is the best for the money? The terrain: New England, mud, rocks, trails, grass, snow... everything? It's NOT a dry place, very hummid up here and sometimes we wonder where the sun is because it rains quite a bit, unpredictably. Hankook Dyna Pro ATM $130 (this can't be right) Toyo Open Country AT2 $168 General Grabber AT2 $158 Goodyear DuraTrac $179 (but I've seen some in the same size that are $200 each?) Cooper Discovery ST-Maxx $192 I obviously want the best bang for buck... I also forgot the Nitto Terra Grappler AT I think... I want the most versitile, best bang for buck, good looks obviously and that is about it.
  18. Mine is a daily too and we do get a lot of rain. I also considered Open Country AT2s
