how hard is rebuilding the master/slave? could a screw driver mechanic stumble through it..?

It just started happening recently, and doesnt always do it, I dont know quite how to describe the noise...its almost like air is being squeezed out. my friend described it as a baby bird that fell out of a tree then got squished while trying to call for help.. any ideas on what could cause such a thing? yeah i will work on the noise description. Also, if going from 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 2nd sometimes likes to stick will changing the transfer case fluid help? i changed transmission and it didnt do anything

So my tires are pretty worn and a friend had 2 reasonably new ones that he gave me, where is the best place to put them? (yes they are the same size as the current ones) I am just wondering if the front or rear should have tires with the most tread. cheers

Hey guys I have a 1995 Pathfinder XE, manual...what fluid goes in the transfer case? It says 2.25 L of Dex III but I wasn't sure... why isnt it gear oil instead of atf?

So i have read that a lot of ppl put jeep coils in the rear for a 2" lift....this sounds cool but I have a few questions/problems to adress before pursuing it: 1) is this hard? I have my house till may 15th then move into a condo and will not be able to do vehicle work myself anymore... 2) what were the coils exactly? 3) i have rancho rs5000 on the back...not the ones used for lifts, but the guy at NAPA said they could support a lift of 1.5 - 2 " no problem....is this risky ? 4) what is required tool wise I want to do something significant to it while I have a driveway...

so i swapped the 5 dash lights out and put in LEDs... it is exceptionally bright where the bulb is (but still all illuminated/easily visible) and looks super odd, can i fix this?
-
So how do i tell if i have abs? There was no fuses for it and the bulb was pulled from the dash...ive slammed on the brakes checking for it before and nothing, and then again once i put the fuses in thinking maybe that would make it work..still no. guess i dont have it?

Hi everyone, so recently (after some significant driving in 4x4) i noticed my front left has a terrible squeel/metal on metal rubbing noise. It has gotten worse over the last two weeks. Some recent changes are I had an alignment, swapped to winter tires (smaller then my reg. tires), and I put in new ball joints.... I am thinking (actually my friend who knows more about this @!*% is thinking) that its the bearing.... how do i tell if its garbage? That being said, anyone have any other suggestions as to what it might be? Another friend mentioned something about my axle and in which case he said i'll have a hell of a time replacing it. I will take the wheel off and have a look this weekend when I have the time. Cheers
