  1. sometimes it runs better after messing with the maf wires. the inner conectors look blue ish in color and the wires are not loose. i just got a oem used maf online with 30 day money back so i will wait for it to come in and in the mean time mess with the wires and try to clean them up. is there a wire repair kit i could get to replace the conector?
  2. thank you all for the help, i was doing it wrong all along. i only moved the switch to diagnose and was thinking those were the codes. when i read the other links it just confused me and then reading them again made perfect sence. so thank you. i am blinking code 12, even though i replaced the maf i think i got a bad one or something. it was a reman from ebay, guess i should have got the oem one for $300. thank you all again.
  3. Ok i have read that the red and green led lihts should blink out a code that equals a number that is then referenced with a part. i read that red should blink out the 10 digit while the green is the 1 digit. Well mine blinks both red and green at the same time, is that good or bad?

  5. if by dizzy you mean distributor then yes its a new one.
  6. well i still have no idea what soever as to how to adjust a tps, so it could be in worng. checked the maf again and it seamed ok.

  10. Ok, thanks for the info. There was no gasket the first time i took it off and i know i did not put one on it. So no there is no gasket. As far as adjusting the tps i will look it up and see how to do that. Hope that makes a differance becouse i am just about done with this thing.

  13. no, i havent been able to find any ajustment for the tsp. and i would sell it for far more than zero $ as there is a big market down here for those kind of trucks that dont run. these ol far boys buy them for good money and have them running the next week.
  14. ok if anyone has read my posts before they will know i have been having a hard hard time getting my pathy to run. Simple run down, oil leak on rear main seal. Dropped the trans and fixed it. After that it ran like crap so i replaced the MAF, TPS, Distributor, cleaned the intake and throttle body, ajusted the timeing and ran the test mode on the CPU. There is nothing that i can find that will fix my Pathy. I will work on it tonigt and if i do not make any progress it will be for sale as is tomorrow. Or once i find the title.
  15. ordered new distributor, hope this fixes my truck, should be in next week. will post on progress, if any.

  18. oh sweet, i need to do an e fan on mine, did you buy a new one or take it off a donor truck? also how are you wireing it? i dont think i want it to run all the time so how could i get it to only turn on when i want it to?
  19. what is the likely hood of an ignition coil going out? i am pretty sure my problem lies somewhere in the spark and or egr valve so im getting a timing light to check timing if thats messed up im going to change the distributor and go from there but i am thinking it may be the ignition coil as well. if neither of these fixes the problem i am back to square one and have no idea what to do.

  21. sounds like a few projects are coming along well, how much are the cv shafts on rock auto? i need a new driver side.
  22. lets see, 87 5spd no body lift. starter 2 bolts and a plug, came out and back in in about 10 min. unbolted and pulled it straight out the front
