Finally finished this project get my truck to start up and.... makes the same noise... so I get to do the other side this weekend luckily I learned that new trick to help me out and all the help from you guys... already ordered the studs they are on the way... so hopefully saturday will be the day its all done...
  4. Stud was removed, everything is put back together... go to start and it wont turn over -_- i suspect it is something to do with my battery/terminals... the positive terminal has a lot of loose wires/ messed up wires i have rewired... any suggestions of how I should handle the positive terminal? should I just run all the wires into 1 wire and straight to the battery or what? I will make a vid tomorrow.

  8. So my stud kit came in today but I had some questions... whats the best way to get the studs in? and which way do the washers go on?
  9. yeah i definitely advise using this technique... requires a mig welder and he demanded 3/8 nuts.. but i assume you could use any as long as they are strong enough? although one nut did break into a million red hot pieces when he was doing it so might have something to do with it... and they had to be brand new with no corrosion at all... and what he did was build up a bunch of the welding material in the shaft of then welded the nut to a "nipple" he had made with the welding material and let it cool for a bit... then he put a 9/16 wrench to it... came out on the third try... told me he was gonna keep it as a souvenir because it was the first one he did out of his shop lol.
  10. No...because the head is aluminum he could weld and it wouldn't stick to the head
  11. Its out a guy I deliver parts to was a couple houses down he welded a nut to it and took it out

  16. what do you speak of? pic? example? might help me. because upon further inspection today i noticed that the bolt isn't very deep within the threads so its not flush but its also not very deep. im thinking this might help me because I don't have much room where I'm working
  17. Not sure if I am going to attempt removal on friday or Saturday but im gonna go after class and spray it down with penetrating oil tonight and tomorrow at some point if im doing it on sat...
