Funny this was brought up. I am in the process of reassembling my 91 after the 3 inch lift (bumper brakes are pita/hieroglyphics). To deal with the air hose issue issue i just unbolted the air box took off the connector that went into the fender and bent one of the brackets lower rebolted and called it a day. I plan on doing a pvc bent snorkel setup in the future so the air box is irrelevant. My last pathy actually had no bolts holding the airbox down or anything other than the one hose intake ribbed hose connected to it for five years of abuse and no ill results. I budget fixed it after an accident and never was able to get any of it to fit right. So I'm sure bending those air box brackets and not using the fender line should be fine.

window regulator track rebuild help window rattle
mo3chang replied to mo3chang's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I started looking up window rattle foam and found this it's for jeeps (they have windows too) "the fix: apply Frost king rubber foam weatherseal 3/4" wide, 7/16" thick (available at lowes) directly to the rubber weather strip on the frame. cut about a 10" long piece of it and applied it." -

window regulator track rebuild help window rattle
mo3chang replied to mo3chang's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I have never seen foam in either of the pathfinder I've owned in the windows, but my previous one had manual windows. I considered getting some felt guard (a thicker version of the one they put on to protect tint that doesn't help) on the plastic lip or some on the inside. My problems seem to be the tabs on the track are worn down on two and broken on two. -
Is there any way to rebuild the window tracks on a power window pathfinder? I have searched far and wide and have only found the entire assembly and those are running about 80+ each. All my windows work the only thing that is really wrong is they rattle after I was trying to help some one (no longer friends) out long story short he freaked out and banged on all my windows and now they rattle(more than before) every time I drive. My rear window doesn't even have the plastic tabs that run on the track. Part number on tab? Or somewhere where they rebuild them in socal? Alternative or ideas to reducing window rattle. I've already tried tightening all the bolts and realigning all the nuts and points inside the door with little improvement

Yeah i know extending lines and hangers and getting the steering to extend. I just ordered the hose hopefully all goes with minimal hiccups

Anyone ever have any experience with flex hose on a pathfinder or with it in general? I've had it on my 98 civic before the rice burned up as dress up ebay kit and it was fine but i did notice allot of vibrations from it on highway but then again that car rattled itself apart. Just wondering if anyone runs something like it in there setup i plan on purchasing a 3 inch body lift this weekend and just trying to plan it all out. My hoses and radiator need to be replaced and i think the lower radiator hose might actually benefit from having some flex hose if doesn't vibrate itself apart during mild off road use. this is the product i was looking at haven't found the correct length and diameter i need yet http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radiator-Coolant-Hose-Flexible-Coolant-Hose-Standard-Upper-Lower-GATES-25480-/301533128862?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4634c6689e&vxp=mtr

i already read that thread and his other one too, which includes him grinding down a water pump and and bending an alternator bracket. thanks though i guess i'll just dive into the unknown then wish me luck vg33 hopefully by next week if the adapter comes in by then i already got the engine it looks like it has most of the brackets so i can mix and match

Some minor front end damage and bougee paint job Bought it with half a steering wheel and no shift knob so i put one i had laying around off of a 240 kit "can you say rice?" everything leaks and not from hoses (oil, coolant, power steering,) my last pathy was an autobot paint looks good in rear but the front is dull

I would like to start off by saying i have searched plenty and know the jist of the compatibility of parts between the two i'm looking for some insight in helping me into which direction i want to go. i've seen lots of write ups with machined snouts on vg33 using vg30 acceries I recently bought a 91 Pathfinder 44 with 185,000 miles for $800 running and driving, but no working AC (MAF sensor code,EGR Canister, and Oxygen sensor code) all of which i've replaced and still have code and a recurring random misfire want to use as daily driver and occasional offroad/long travel I'm currently planning to do an engine swap i asked my mechanic the VG30 swap with a low mileage Japanese engine no accessories will cost 1500, but if i go with a vg33 no accessories $1800 new clutch, clutch, waterpump, and other bits My question is should i just use the VG30 accessories since its mostly pretty well worn (everything looks roughbut works except for AC) or go to a pickapart and try to acquire all of the vg33 accessories and brackets? What are parts that i need? all accessories + brackets and? I want want to avoid machined parts and use VG33 parts where possible Is it all strictly bolt on from there? Anyone have any opinions? I have pacesetter headers that will be put on along with a hi flow cat and an apollo intake that i plan to mate with a snorkel (havent decided which one) ((already relocated ecu under dash)) Also ordering 3' suspension lift from 4x4 parts just sold a calmini lift(heard not so good things about them) Located in SoCal if anyone has any help offered this is my second pathy and would like this one done right

i hate not having any cupholders i spill drinks on the daily i had remove my center console cause my lil brother used it as a seat and it broke he learned his lesson when the parking brake went up his @ss lol -
well the link is for the face plate so it doesn't leave a hole so you could see how snugly it fits before you go and get the bracket from junk yard i know my stock cage around the stock radio didn't line up with my after market aiwa head unit by a long shot . the plastic on them if exposed to heat starts falling apart too so a junk yard part for stereo on 10+ year old car might not last. i know from experience mine practically crumbled while removing it and the ones from my local pick-a-part (ecology) wasn't in much better condition. i'm currently in the process of sorting out my stereo too i just need to figure out my electrics first

you might just want to buy this instead http://cgi.ebay.com/Radio-Stereo-Dash-install-kit-NISSAN-PATHFINDER-1986-93-/290397920145?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439d109b91#ht_2610wt_905

are all wd21 doors interchangeable? i have a 92 se that doesn't have the third brake light and has quite a bit of dents in it its still salvageable but i wanted to know if i could swap in a newer wd21 door the one with the third break light already in place. it would be a lot easier than repairing the one i have. They seem to be the right size and dimensions just wondering if anyone has done this. I don't have a tire carrier but i want one eventually i just haven't deicded if i want a roof mounted one, bumper, or a stockish one

well since we are talking about body damage i was hit by a bright green jeep going fully horizontal on the 91 freeway going to school and i saw it coming and i had no other room to maneuver so i turned the wheel and went into it head on. the guy had a winch and bull bars on his car. it looked like the incredible hulk had punched my car the grill shattered both lights were done my stock bumper was bent along with the brackets and both fenders were done, one more than the other because on was after market and i had never known till then. Oh and the AC Condenser had punctured and all the gas escaped but my ac hadn't worked for years and i lost a power steering belt. Not to mention the lil honda civic that rear ended me and was totaled the rear damage was minimal though. the jeep took off after a few attempts to start his car up again and i had no insurance other than liability so she stayed a lil bent up for a while till it got stollen again and then it was really trashed

mine used to be burgundy but neglect from parents and it being stolen being left god knows where its turned into a few different shades of red. anyone with burgundy interior notice that it cracks more frequently than the gray and black ones. i've taken a few trips to my local pick a part and the burgundy ones are always cracked to hell so i pulled a few gray pieces but i don't care
-
Well lets see how it goes if i just swap out the head unit for an after market one and no amp.
-
thanks that sounds right so my car doesn't have an amp right?
-
I can't seem to figure it out not in the chilton manual i have is this an amp or what is it i can start the car with it unplugged or not

Help blank clock, radio and brake lights
mo3chang replied to mo3chang's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
still trying to scrounge up some money for an after market deck and maybe some speakers cause i three inch speakers in all four slots but they are there just for testing i bought an ebay wire harness for the install. IDK if my pathy has an amp or not its a 92 se pathfinder four speakers total. The break lights i just changed the bulbs with LED bulbs and new sockets the old ones were a little oxidized and the bulb grease had seemed to be more havoc than anything. bulb lights 1.15 the pair from ebay and sockets 2.50 also from ebay i just had to wait twelve days for them to come in The clock i'm still stumped on Is there anyway to test constant power or any remedies to correct it i replaced all the relays with spare ones i had just to check
