Yeah I would like to start off with just what kind of car or specific manifold type to search for on the VQ engines to know that the exhaust port and studs line up like oem, then see if there was any chance of actually bolting them on and having them not fire into a firewall or engine mount, with proper 02 locations even in my best wishes lol, then I can just fabricate the rest of the exhaust from there I'll have to try and research which Vq's have the same exhaust ports first I guess EDIT: just searched for about an hour on this site and a few others for options, I didnt find a lick of info on anyone putting any sort of aftermarket header on there R50, I figured someone would have done this before for sure, those factory manifolds sure must flow crappy... they look restrictive anyways, and ugly

I know its different from what the majority on this forum go, I am more interested in the performance chat and general engine and chassis mods. I followed a link here for the Missing Link bar that seems to be a big rave. I ended up making my own lol. Works amazing for $5 lol and Im not deaf, the 2 18's arent the bad part. Its the 12 6.5" speakers and various tweets and supertweets that really scream. Im at work so I dont have any pics, but the dual alt setup is just a custom bracket to hold it above the ac compressor, its a mustang 270amp alt, I only went with the mustang because it has a very easy bolt pattern to make a bracket for. I made my own 3" CAI and ditched the factory huge air box and made a ton of room on the drivers side

The air lift 1000 kit is good and does make it stiffen up and you can definetely add an inch with 20+ psi in the bags. But Ive had 2 sets now fail on me after they mysteriously lost pressure then the spring just eats them for dinner when theres no pressure in them They work so good Im orderring another pair and doing something to protect them this time lol

Heard about this board and it seems to have good knowledgeable people and alot of traffic. I may not drive a "pathfinder" but its all the same under the skin right lol My ride is an 01 Inifiniti Qx4. Has quite a few mods but mostely bolt on as far as suspension and performance. A few pretty things like suede headliner and door pillars. A few unique things about it are that I have converted it to a dual alternator setup, 3 large batteries in the back of the car. Side exhaust that Ive tried a few different applications with. Heres a few pics with my winter tire/rim setup ALOT of work in progress. And Im sure I'll be a part of some good future discussion and hopefully help some people out and learn alot myself.

Afternoon guys. Im in a bit of a debauckle here, my car has a custom exhaust that I want to redo anyways. Im not a big fan of the factory cats and resonators. And the look of the stock exhaust manifold and oiled up heatshields kind of angers me... Anyways I noticed they dont make any aftermarket headers with stock location 02 bungs for the 3.5L engine but they do make them for the 350z, g35 etc all with the VQ35 but some different sub models. Does anyone know or has anyone had success yet creating there own motor back exhaust system with any of these parts?? Would appreciate any info!!
