  1. Failed to take get it to move, trying to cut across a small tract of land in my neighborhood, where an electrical transmission tower chain goes through. No traction on any wheel in wet grass. I did get it to back up, though, that was good. Ended up slinging mud everywhere, taking the normal route back home.

I swear, never a dull moment in these trucks.

Every post you make...im liking you better and better. no homo ov course.

  2. That works too. The only thing now is can you make it look decent and is it worth the effort to make one?

YES and YES. Maybe I will take some direct measurements one day and then I will see where to go from there...

ANYONE WANT TO MAKE IT FOR ME? I WILL PAY...of course I would like to be there standing around watching as it all happens. Just Saying.

  3. if you can build it then go for it

don't forget that you will have to make new mounts

the existing ones won't do that well if the bumper is on the heavy side

Thats what I was thinking...See what im thinking is to make the Grille part out of some light metal and then the rest of the bumper out of steel or something. In the end it should weigh less than an Arb because i removed that whole center portion. Im pretty much making a really big grille. I then put some Pipes in front of the lower portion in case of a front end accident.

  4. no grille? You mean so all you see is the radiator, front support beams, and the head lights?

I'm sure it wouldn't be illegal, but it might not come off as classy if that matters to you. It's definitely not a safety concern or anything.

To be honest, I've seen some crazy stuff done to cars. If people can duct tape their doors on, then I would think you can drive around without a grille.

Not a safety concern? being sarcastic there bud?

Would that affect my engine in anyway? What if its raining and I go through a few puddles?

I saw this and I like the look.

    NPORA Member. Look.

  5. So Im kinda liking the trucks I see with no grille or front bumper on em. I think they look pretty cool.

So what are the Pros and Cons for removing the bumper and grille and using the truck as a DD.

Also does anyone know if I can legally drive around in NY without the grille and Bumper?

    Thanks :)

  6. Hey as long as dads paying to fill it up it can have a 5 gallon tank if he says so. What ever you say dad just give me some money! I remember those days, in about another year I'll be hearing that.

    James

XD Well I just tell him im empty at 250 miles and he gives me 60 to fill her up. 21 gallon tank would make me empty at..315..I'll say 300 to be safe. :]

More time I can out inbetween fill ups the better...$76.65 to fill her up (about)...Now i gotta ask for 80 bucks instead of 60 to fill the tank.

  7. I said I have a 21 gallon. He goes No its a 15 dont argue with me...You were just running dry. Im like yea ok dad...W.e. You say.

That extra 2.125 gallons came from idk where. LMFAO. I swear I have a 21. Just wanted some proof. Im going to keep saying its a 15 tho. Free gas money from dad? I think so. LMFAO

  8. get under there and look at the tank. Are you telling me that you've never put more than 15 gallons in it at a time?

17.125....but my dad insists that its a 15 and i was just running super dry...Felt like I coulda put more in but $60 only fills her up so far. No what im saying. XD

  9. no more are SUVs 4wd station wagons for families.

Kinda funny how Nissan is making their biggest, beefiest vehicle (except the trucks) into a half-sized, fwd, crossover whatever whatever..

How is Nissan going towards fwd when GM is going to have all of their vehicles RWD within 3 or 4 years I think

We still have the Xterra but...im not hoping for too long. Where did I read they were planning to do away with the X?

  10. yes..there IS a place you can find out, in fact. The owner's manual, FSM, or the multiple threads around here. Nissan offered 15gal and 21gal tanks.

Instead of running your tank dry, you can either assume it's a 21gal tank (which plenty of people are skeptical due to it not filling above 3/4 tank on the needle), or you can burn about 19 gallons or so and fill it up. See what happens

Yea i know about the whole 15 or 21 gallon thing. I am not sure which my tank is. Now if I do have a 15 then burning 19 gallons requires me running her till she is dry at one point. If I have a 21 then burning 19 isnt that big of a deal. I just want to know if there is another way I could find out that doesnt involve running her dry. Like if i search the VIN or if there is a marking somewhere on the tank itself that could tell me.

  11. hey everyone..keep in mind, running out of gas is very bad for your fuel pump.

To everyone who is like "I'm gonna run it out of gas and keep a 3 gallon jug" dont do that. You are damaging your fuel pump.

THAT'S the real reason they took the 2nd gauge out. They put an idiot light in. When people see the light, they KNOW they need gas, but not everyone looks at their gauges all the time. So sometimes they would run out of gas and it would damage the fuel pumps. I guess people got made and complained. People be stupid.

Yea I know its bad for the pump but running it out once shouldnt kill it. I hope it doesnt. Its not like I'm planning to do this on a constant basis. One time, just to find out the size of my tank...unless someone else know where else I could find this out?

    Vin?

Or maybe written on the tank somewhere?
