  1. The 95 FSM shows one amp if you've got 2 or 4 speakers, and two if you've got 6 or 8 (tweeters). Either way, looks like they're both behind the right-hand side panel in the cargo area. Once the panel's out, from front to back, you've got the auto trans computer (if applicable), the rear amp, and then the front amp at the back (EL-77 in the FSM). EL-59 shows the thing under and behind the stereo, but doesn't say what it is. :scratchhead: I don't see it indicated in the wiring diagrams, and all that's said on 59 is that it's got a fuse.

Then again, it also shows the door lock timer in the wrong place, as the illustration is of a two-door Pathy. :scratchhead:

Well I will be pulling the interior apart quite soon. If I find it then I will be sure to let you guys know. :]

I have 8 speakers though. I have some big speakers I want to run. Gunna take apart my interior and rewire the factory speakers. But Gunna try the big ones out first with the factory amp I guess. ;/

  2. Just to save you from breaking something, blowing a fuse, toasting a relay, or setting your truck on fire. A wire that sparks when touching metal, is a positive feed.

Please go into depth as to what this means. :]

I understand it has power..but..shouldn't it be connected to another wire?

  3. why are they ALWAYS like that?!?! I don't even understand how someone can just randomly tape wires off and shove them somewhere like that. You would think it would actually be easier to do it properly based on the level of failure.

Mine is the same way. What a headache.

    faintthud.gif Really?

That really pisses me off when people cut the harness and don't use an adapter, especially for the antenna. The kit with both is like 15 bucks at best buy!!!

you should see under the dash on the drivers side. I'll take a picture or two later.

Edit: Because I'm only recently exposing myself to all this wiring in the truck. Some one answer me..I know that random black wire that ran to noting is supposed to go somewhere. I was wondering if someone could explain to me as to where it was supposed to go. I assume its the negative because if i touch metal with it i see sparks. :D

I wouldn't tolerate a hack job on any wiring. I went overkill with my stereo wiring. I soldered the wires, covered with electrical tape, then used zip ties to prevent the tape from potentially unrolling in the heat (I had no heatshrink available).

My dad wanted to send to truck to a workshop to wire the rear factory speakers I found I still had. I was like, "NOOOO! I saw the stereo wiring. No one touches the wiring in that truck other than me. Let the shop fix my fuel pump." LoL

I would have went OCD like u did but i couldnt feel my fingers after opening it up the first time. I was cold as fsck.

  4. Removed the center piece on the dash to fix the falling in stereo system. Found a total Hack Job.

  5. UGH! This is going to be fun. I'll inform those at Infamous of these results to see if we can get a sample of the K colors that weren't available to Pathfinders. Boy that's going to be a freaking nightmare for ordering.

    Call up gauge company

    - "Ya high I'd like to order a gauge for a 1996 Nissan Hardbody please."

    (Company) - "Sure, what color?"

    - "Color code K please."

(Company) - "Which of the 4 options for K would you Like?"

    - "Huh? There's 4 options for K? alright..... well its the Grey one."

(Company) - "Alright, that eliminated black, which variation of Grey would you like. Light Grey, Dark Grey, or brownish grey."

    - "Hmmm it looks sort of light grey, but then again I don't know how dark the dark grey is... Hmmmmm I'll have to call you back."

I'm pretty sure the company was hoping to get actual color names so its easier to identify. I see what else I can come up with on the actual color name. this should be fun.....

    killing me here bro

  6. So heres the scoop. My brother has a 90 two door I have been helping him go over. When I give it some gas it swerves to the right. When you come off the gas it swerves to the left . Any ideas?

Im going to be no help. I saw the topic and I really wanted to say the following....

    Hold the wheel tighter? LoL
