Ok, here we go blast from the past, the complete Jim Conner Racing Catalog circ. 1988, also a few extra Nissan truck related ad's, for those too young to remember this, this was basically the ONLY source of Nissan parts other than maybe Cal Mini at the time. Wish they were still in business today.

sorry had a lot of stuff to scan into the computer, done, now have to upload everything so I can post it here.
Old timers I guess as far as age goes cause this stuff came out in the late 80's, around 88, be back soon......

Hello all, I got something I'm currently scanning into the computer for any "old timers" out here that may remember this, stay tuned

thanks, it's not a big deal. years ago when I was living in NY I worked at a 4x4 shop mostly doing tires and some counter work, that was when I first bought my 87 Hardbody SE-V6 4x4, it was stock, but working in the shop gave me access to a world of knowledge and a very good discount on parts. We never had too many Nissan's in the shop but the few that came in were far above normal, one pickup had 35's and a supercharger, another one a 720 we did a 4.3 chevy swap in and boondocker ( old company for sure) fiberglass fenders and rear flares, but My boss rented out a building across the street to an auto glass company and one of the owners had a 2 door pathfinder that is where I thought I saw leaf springs on the rear of his truck, I probably am mistaken as it has been so long ago. sorry to go off topic.

was looking thru an old Jim Conner racing catalog that I have last night and it says they are the only one's that make the 2 stage bars for Nissan, I thought sway a way was making all their bars but not sure as sway a way doesn't list a 2 stage bar on their site either. I know someone was selling them for toyota's maybe it was Downey but there bars used a metal sleeve that ran part way up the bar to engage the second stage, unlike the way the Nissan 2 stage bars were set up.
man I had so many cool parts on my Hardbody when I traded it in, should have took them off before I traded it in!! If I had only known I would have another Nissan truck later on down the road!!!

sorry to go off topic, that's why I asked cause I could have sworn when they first came out the coils were some sort of an option

here are the part numbers no idea what may be different other than the engines:

welcome to the site,

By the way my 87 had UCA's by Jim Connor racing, first generation type where they reinforced the factory arms and used a ball joint spacer, I had mine optioned with shock tabs on top so I could install triple shocks using shock hoops that I also bought from them, the shock hoops I had painted and NEVER installed !! I still have them all these years later. torsion bars were 2 stage also from JCR. The rear of my truck had double shocks also from Jim Connor, used to use a Rancho add-a-leaf ( the thick short one) until I broke one 4 wheeling than I replaced them with thin Trailmaster add-a-leafs. I had a 3" aluminum block Trailmaster body lift. rear axle had a Jim Connor skid plate and the front skid plate was also one of his parts, still have the front one it's going on my pathfinder. Rear window was from CR Laurence and was one of those limo types that electrically rolled up and down, still have that too,LOL. Roll bar was sold long ago, I had 6 of those Hella Rally 2000's now down to 2 but I still have all the different lenses for them. Front and rear tube bumpers were from Smittybilt, the rear one was modified later to sit in the proper place with the body lift. Winch bumper I got later on was from Pro Zap, no winch but I had my air tank and one of my 2 air horns mounted where the winch was supposed to go. Window visors were from Wade. The BFG all terrains were 35's all other pics were 33" mud terrains. Light bar on top of roll bar was from House of Steel which made the factory Nissan grille guards and stuff and the lettering under the rear facing lights said "go ahead make my day", one day a car behind me had his high beams on and got blinded by the 2 rear lights, the driver didn't appreciate it, he was a cop!! plug hanging under bumper was for a set of tow truck style plug in jumper cables, much more convenient than having to open the hood
Sorry no 4 wheeling pics , most of mine are on video

the grilles were available years ago, I highly doubt the company is still around, I still have the one in the pic although my truck is gone now, (should have kept it!!), the lights were nice as they were adjustable by adjusting 2 screws just like a headlight. The grill itself was kind of flimsy compared to a stock one. I know when they changed the headlights on the trucks from my style in 87 to the flush type in I believe 89? Not sure what year pathfinders have which type of headlights but my 94 pathfinder has the 89 truck style headlights so I don't think this grille would work without modification.
The gauges I had a upholstery company back home cut the 3 holes above the glove box, I know what ever tool they used the guy told me they broke like 3 bits, I mounted and installed the gauges. I saw a hardbody somewhere ( in a magazine I think) and the owner had 3 gauges mounted like mine were but he had his mounted in a panel and the panel was attached to the dash. I just wanted individual holes and there was actually room for a 4th one if I ever wanted to mount another one. Also in my 87 Hardbody when you open the glove box it had a plastic "roof" under where the gauges were installed that I had to cut open slightly to get my hand up in there to get to the back of the gauges, I noticed in my 94 pathfinder that the metal plate behind the glove box is now "L" shaped and replaces the plastic part that I had to cut. The older trucks used a flat metal pc. behind the glove box.

nice! like the custom fender work! LOL
my 94 pathfinder I just got isn't on the road yet and looks stock so no pics of it here but here are some of my 87 hardbody at different stages of it's life:
after some mud fun
gauges I mounted in the dash
rear view triple double rollbar sitting on 35's
switches custom installed for lights
at the car wash after a night of frozen mud
side view on 35's with my favorite lights, Hella 2000's
close up of 35" BFG at on centerline wheel with black lugs
with aftermarket grille with driving lights built in

didn't 86-87 pathfinders use rear leaf springs also??
-
Nissan must have changed something as there are 7 different part numbers for the fuel tank in Nissan fast for the WD21 pathfinders, I'm sure some of the differences have to do with the engine having TB or MPI possibly
-
good to know, your 87 sounds like it has as many mods as the 87 hardbody I used to own !! got any pics of it??
-
fiberglass fender time or junkyard
-
does any company make the 2 stage torsion bars anymore? I had them in my 87 hardbody from Jim Connor Racing?
-
that's what I was thinking also, have to get a grey relay so I can re-wire in the new relay socket I got from the junkyard and see if it works the way it is supposed to as right now it will crank in and gear which is not good
-
ok, just was wondering cause I didn't see any lights or where lights would be on my truck, thanks
-
Is my 94 pathfinder supposed to have indicators in the gauge cluster that tell you what gear it is in? In the service manual it looks like it has this but looking at the gauge cluster I don't see anything. Any idea what controls this and where it is?? thanks
-
ok, I usually use a sewing needle while running hot water thru the nozzles to clean out wax build up etc from them, thanks I will try using air thru the lines

94 pathfinder, one of the previous owners for what ever reason cut 4 wires out of 6 off of one of the relay sockets under the hood and hooked the wires up to a standard relay, the relay is just forward of where the wiper bottle mounts, the socket that was cut out is Grey and there is also a blue relay right next to this one. I think this relay controls whether the truck can be started in gear or not, If I disconnect the power wire that they ran directly to the battery the truck won't even crank, when the relay is connected it will crank no matter what gear it is in (ex. park, reverse, drive, 1,2,etc), I know it's not supposed to do that. There are 2 wires in the factory relay socket that aren't even hooked up and I think this may have something to do with it cranking no matter where the auto shifter is. I see these 3 plugs in the electrical section of the factory service manual I think it may be one of these"
4m - park/neutral position relay (VG30E engine A/T model)
9m - inhibitor relay (wagon A/T model with ASCD)
51m - A/T indicator relay
problem is I can't find a diagram that shows the same color wires that this relay socket has anywhere in the service manual, as I said there are 6 wires going to this relay socket, it is Grey, 2 of the wires are thicker than the other four and, (I cut one of these relay sockets out of a truck at the junkyard so I could repair the harness in my truck but I don't have it in front of me right now) but I think one of the thick wires is black with a pink stripe and the other thick wire is black with a different color stripe, I will post the colors tomorrow. Just wanted to know if someone could tell me what this relay is for and where I might find the diagram showing the wire colors in the FSM?
Thanks

Just wondering if anyone was from the Orlando, Florida area?

It's weird cause I took the wiper bottle out of the truck and found the front pump is leaking from the bottom so I took it apart and put some silicone around the edge, but even with the leak when I hooked the pump up to my power supply in my shed it pumped fine, same with the rear pump, I put the tube into a cup of water and it worked fine, so when I put the bottle back in the truck neither one works, so that leads me to believe there is a problem with one of the tubes.
