VG33 to VQ35 happened in 2001. 99.5 is the front fascia, bigger brakes, and rear shock relocation, among a couple other things.
Thanks for the correction!

Truck looks nice!
I see it all the time... what does SFD stand for?
-
I don't think they changed anything from the 96 to 96.5 model year.
But I do know that pathfinder went through a front fascia change in 99.5

Are you positive you have a limited slip? with a LSD in lose gravel, etc, it should make two marks if you drop the go pedal from the a standstill.

The gear indicator on my 95XE is on the shifter itself, nothing on the cluster.

sounds like someone, SOMEHOW, replaced the dual filament bulbs with a single filament bulb. 1156 and 1157 are the numbers. the dual filament bulbs have a twin post contact setup, and the single just have a big one in the center. so what I'm guessing is that someone forced a single filament bulb in there, which when the brakes were applied, also crossed power to the marker light circuit.

I'm not sure that I understand this technique. For the benefit of everyone on NPORA maybe you could post an instructional video?
I second this notion.

you could also get a collection of ball bearings or pennies....

on ODB2 vehicles there is, essentially, a bad cat code. The first o2 sensor is for the computer to adjust fuel trims. the second o2 sensor is to make sure the cat is still working, that is why it's after the cat. that is the only purpose of the 2nd o2 sensor.
-
You could always fix what's wrong with your rig... haha. Glad I've never owned an OBD2 vehicle. All OBD1 needs is a good cat, haha!

I'm also liking the manastash ridge suggestion after reading about it.

Rust is bad. Especially on the internals of an engine! If you want this engine to last, you need to get the crank machined and the block hot tanked and honed. And if the crank gets machined, you won't be able to use the old bearings, you'll need new ones. rings as well.

I have cyanogenmod's firmware on my phone, so as soon as he ports it over or whatnot. My 1.6 has tweaks from 2.0, but the phone isn't officially 2.X

Can't find this app in my market G1 user with a custom 1.6 rom.. This must be a droid/2.0 app

there is the possibility of sediment built up at the bottom of the tank as well.

my resonator fell off weeks ago, then my muffler. the resonator really doesnt do much. the muffler is the big noise reducer.
You live in washington and parts are falling off??
All a resonator does is change the tone of the exhaust. Cherry bombs, are technically resonators.

My last two "fill ups" have netted me ~20mpg, and that's mixed highway/city.

Think we saw beavis but not 100% as we tried to flag 'em down but we were ignored.
Met another guy with a green 4 door, more for show than for offroading though, it was super clean.
So, in all saw 5 pathies including my own.

the local pull-a-parts here are 18+ and they make you sign and pay a dollar to enter.

a quart should be plenty, but I would grab a small bottle JUST in case.
